“A wonderful place ....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

We have made our reservation at Boardwalk based on the reviews on Tripadvisor.

Firstly, Aruba is amazing. It’s a very beautiful and friendly island. We hope to go back for sure!!

On respect of Boardwalk Hotel, we really enjoyed our staying of 10 days at this pleasant, beautiful and welcomer place.
I must say that it’s a very calm and peaceful place, where you can really feel like home and enjoy all the comfort of the hotel and all the attention of the staff that works hard to make the most for the guests .
The tips we got at the lobby really helped us and certainly made our staying at Aruba be more advantageous. The girls were always ready to show us the best of the island. We can notice that all the staff really worries about the satisfaction of the guests, always keeping an eye in what can get even better. No doubt that at Boardwalk you will receive much more attention in comparison with a traditional resort (normally full of people).
The ambient of the hotel is very pleasant, calm (we can hear birds singing), and the location is very good. We rent a car to explore all the island, but in some days we went to Palm Beach by foot, since it is very near.
The cleanliness of the rooms is very good. Many days we got to our Casita and felt the good smell from it. The conditions of the Casita were really great too. Everything is new and/or well cared for. We loved it!

The cats that live at the Hotel are so cute! It was a pleasure to receive them at our Casita everyday. I’m already missing them a lot … It was hard to let them and come back home. For who is a cat lover like me will enjoy it!

We hope no longer to come back. And surely we’ll stay at Boardwalk again.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Boardwalk Hotel the weekend of October 17th through October 20th and couldn't have been happier with our stay. When we arrived early, we received a very warm greeting from Katinka and she was kind enough to accommodate us with an early check in. She was extremely friendly and gave us a thorough run down of the hot spots and areas of interest on the island. Our casita was charmingly decorated and had everything as promised. It was clean, stylish and well layer out. We loved the semi private outdoor area and made the most of it. The hotel is a cross the street from the beach but it is literally less than a five minute walk to get to some sand. If you don't feel like dining in the casita the Ritz Carlton and Marriott resorts are directly across the street from the Boardwalk and offer dining and cocktail options. Katinka recommended Moomba (sp?) Beach as a great place to kick back and have a drink or watch the sunset. Great tiki bar vibe and friendly people abound. We loved it here and highly recommend the Boardwalk Hotel in Aruba. Thanks Katinka for the great stay! Diana and I are already planning our next trip back!

A complete life changing experience. This beats 6 star hotels I have stayed in in the Gulf. The service and surroundings are exquisite. Cannot be bettered. The views are amazing and the staff a delight. Don't think of staying anywhere else.

This was the final part of our silver wedding anniversary celebrations spread across 2014 and boy was it a good finale. Aruba is an outstanding destination for hotels, good food, beautiful beaches and a real good chill out! So far as I could see there is no crime to speak of (I think I saw 2 policemen in 1 week but I could be mistaken) and no matter where we went on the island we were treated almost like long lost friends.

From the begining of my planning the hotel managers and staff would respond to my emails within 24 hours with full answers to all my questions and give out hint & tips for "stuff" outside the hotel. The hotel itself is lovely, designed well (painted in the coulours of Aruba if I'm not mistaken) and set in tropically planted gardens - perfect for our needs. Our Casita was very clean, very comfortable, good facilities and serviced daily to a high standard. We were able to refresh the freely supplied beach towels daily on demand, snorkle gear gear was supplied for us and each of the rooms has a cool box. The gardens are beautiful and a nice area in which to simply relax with a beer or three. (Watch out for the lizard that threatens its reflection in the mirror at the Gazebo area - very funny.)

The hotel itself is a walk way from the main strip area, maybe a mile or so which suited us (keeps the noise down) and in any case there are plenty of watering holes along the beach. There is a road between the hotel and the beach area but we found that the locals simply stopped their cars in the middle of the road to let you cross with a friendly wave! We hired a Jeep to cover the North of this island and found a day or so enough for a hire as the local bus transport is plentyful and cheap

This was our firt trip to Aruba and having spent many vacations in large chain hotels in years past, this particular gem in the Caribbean has just cemented the idea of smaller boutique style hotels in our minds and with a fair wind this will not be our last trip to the Boardwalk.

Room Tip: Suggest you use the bus (or hire car) early on your trip to hit the supermarket and stock up on Wine...

Loved the boardwalk hotel!! Lush tropical private and close to everything! 3 minute drive to the best snorkeling at Boca Catalina beach! Local breakfast (order for in-room service only) was delicious, refreshing fruit smoothies were wonderful, the coffee was strong just how we like it, and the local arepas were a hit we loved it all! Would love to go back

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we loved our little Casita and the owners were really nice!! Our Casita was very clean and nice and the bed was super comfortable. The shower was awesome as well! And the pool, while small, was a nice quiet place to hang out after a day at the beach or in the park. The hotel is located about a mile (just out of walking distance) from the main strip of large hotels and restaurants. My only complaint is that the beach that we had "access" to was quite a hike. The beach itself is only about a 5-10 minute walk but you do have to cross the highway to get there. However, once we got to the beach, we were confused as to where we had access and ended up having to walk quite a ways down the beach to find Moomba Beach Club. And to be honest, it was crowded and not very nice. Luckily, down the main road and away from thousands of people are several beautiful, less crowded public beaches! We stuck with those the rest of the week and we loved that Boardwalk provided us with chairs, a cooler and snorkel masks and shared with us the best beaches to snorkel from. We did have to drive to these beaches though-it would have been really difficult to stay at this hotel without a car so I would definitely recommend renting one :) Overall, our stay was wonderful!

I haven't experienced every hotel in Aruba, so I don't honestly know if that's true. What I do know is that Boardwalk Small Hotel is warm, intimate, comfortable, and pretty much everything else we could have wanted it to be—and everything your baseline, box hotel experience (of which there are many in Aruba) is not. Kimberly and Stephanie (owners, sisters) have carved out a formidable place for themselves on this island, in the Caribbean travel space and forever in the memory of our three days in Aruba. The papaya-based hot sauce and iced tea (which they had waiting in our casita to welcome us) were also amazing.
