So I was walking around with some friends looking for some good ol eggs for breakfast and came across a guy on the sidewalk hawking Scala Restaurant. We went up to the 2nd floor and browsed the menu. I had my heart set on a basic bacon and cheese omelet, but they don't have it on the menu. I did notice other omelets but not specifically what I wanted. There was a standard 2 egg scramble with bacon, so I figured I'll tell the waitress to add cheese to that and make it an omelet. There was a huge breakdown in communication since she couldn't understand what I wanted and was trying to sell me a slice of cheese on the side. She did understand the concept of an omelet since they sold them, but couldn't fathom adding cheese and bacon to eggs. In the end I had a standard scrambled eggs with hash browns, which were of the frozen high school cafeteria variety. Maybe it was an off day at Scala, but I suggest you skip it.
