My family and I just returned from Easter vacation in Aruba where we stayed at the Amsterdam Manor Hotel. The hotel fit our needs perfectly for both location and features. Located at Eagle Beach, it is a much more relaxed scene as compared with the high rise area without being too far away from anything. The hotel had a pool and the beach was just across the street. Both restaurants on site offered enough quality food and solid choices for the kids.Passions on the beach was the more upscale of the two options and provided a perfect setting for our last dinner. For a change of pace, we had lunch at Tulips on another nearby property managed by the same company; it was tasty too. Our room was a two bedroom suite which featured a private balcony and kitchenette; the parents and kids had their own full bathrooms and both bedrooms had TVs - a great way to avoid too many disagreements. The entire property was very clean; I was very pleased with the level of attention paid to keeping our room stocked with clean linens and tools. The staff was very attentive without being overbearing; they even kept the restaurant open late when they knew our arriving flight was delayed. Stefan the bartender was particularly amusing and made some great frosty drinks. The closest thing to a complaint that we had was the fact that you had to walk to the beach to get towels for the pool; you would think it would make more sense to stock the towels at the pool for people to grab as they walked to the beach - but if this is the worst obstacle you face on a trip, life is pretty good. Overall, I would highly recommend Amsterdam Manor for your next Spring break or Easter trip.
