Owner description: A great dive, not just because of the Debbie II wreck but because of ample brain coral and schools of barracuda patrolling the area.

“***Great Snorkeling***”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2014

This is a great spot to snorkel and see some large school of fish. Not much by way of shade trees or huts but if you go early you may get one. Great spot to chill for a few hours.

“We visited three times.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2014

Get there early and you can get shade. The tours start showing up early. Be sure to try and beat them there. Arrive by 9:00 at the latest. Bring your coolers for a great day.
We brought bread along and the fish were practically jumping out of the water .

An abundance of fish, eel's, turtles and coral. Great sunlit bottom and light current. Many spectacular coulors and formations.

“Rocky -- better snorkeling elsewhere”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2014

Pros: Had open palapa late in the morning hours which was nice. Pretty views around it.

Cons: rocky entrance and be careful not to step on mini sea urchins. Snorkeling was better at Boca Catalina and Arashi -- but Malmok is still a nice place to hang.

“power boat could have killed diver on Malmok Reef”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2014

While I was snorkeling and my friend was doing a shore dive from the Malmok Beach at Malmok Reef, twice speed boats towing tubers zoomed dangerously close to the shore where we were. One boat went was between me and the shore and went right over the top of one of the divers who was only a couple feet deep under water. It was very frightening. Aruba needs to get control over their boaters. Before I snorkeled there again, I stayed very close to shore and wore a couple bright orange floaties tied to my shoulder strap in case another crazy speed boat came our direction. This is a popular snorkel area that numerous tour boats bring their snorkelers so the speed boaters should know better. I recommend stay very close to shore and enjoy the rocky shoreline that is colorful and full of fish.
