“Wonderful staff, Aruba has no sharks !!!! So they say.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

The resort was wonderful, clean and well appointed. Our view was beautiful, ocean @ sunsets The casino was very nice and nice to us !! The beach is to crowded, the water is warm and the color is sooo incredible it does not seem real. They really say there are no sharks, that made me very happy. I do not know who told the sharks they could not come but that's OK!!!. Be ready to break the bank for food and drinks though, so bring plenty of money. No one warned us so we ate a lot of popcorn, it was fun. They island is not beautiful, lush. It is a desert. The beaches more than make up for that. Best of all are the people Lovely, friendly helpful, a true delight. Go with lots of money and enjoy!!!!

This was the first time my wife and I visited Aruba. If we return for the second it will be due to the friendly staff at this beautifully appointed hotel. Their beach tends to be a bit overcrowded, however, we stayed at the pool which was very nice with an ideal water temperature. The rooms were of good size and our view of the ocean was fantastic. I've been disappointed by inadequate air conditioning in my previous stays in the Carribean. Not here, it was quite up to our standards. We noted that families with children seemed to be enjoying the facilities.

Room Tip: Try and get a room with an ocean view on an upper floor.

We had a great time in Aruba and at this resort. Although our room was overlooking the roof, we really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and a special thanks to Kimberly at the front desk. She is extremely helpful and defines exceptional client service. The resort is very lucky to have such a great employee working for them. She is knowledgeable and her smile lights up the room. We greatly appreciate her assistance throughout our stay. We will look forward to coming back to Aruba again. Love the fact that the water is one of the world's purest and the fantastic restaurants on the island.

My wife and I recently returned from our annual visit to the Tradewinds floor of this wonderful resort, and we are already looking forward to next year. From top to bottom (literally), the staff could not be nicer. Up top, Margaret in the Tradewinds lounge is an absolute pleasure. Her smile brightens the day, and she cannot do enough for her guests. Sondra and Jayna are fixtures at the lobby bar, and we love spending time with them over a bottle of wine. Out on the beach, Hermina could not be nicer and more watchful over her guests. As the unofficial ambassador of Aruban beaches, she will tell you when to go in for lunch or when to get out of the sun. Add in great weather and great local restaurants and you have a wonderful vacation!

Room Tip: The higher up you go, the better the view of the ocean.

Located at the far end of Palm Beach the Marriott is away from the hustle of the center of the strip. It was nice at the end of the day to return to the more isolated part of the island to relax and enjoy the resort. We had rented a car for our trip. Parking was free and convenient and made getting around to sight see and dine quite easy, rather than waiting for a taxi. We greatly enjoyed the beach, pool and onsite casino. La Vista was good for a breakfast buffet and Ruth's Chris was the best meal we had while staying on Aruba. The Simply Fish restaurant was the best experience of the oceanside restaurants and we hit them all. The resort has a lot to offer, friendly staff ( especially Jasmine at the pool ) nice facilities and good restaurants and casino.

If I was to mention one flaw it was the pool lounges and palapas for the beach. You have to get up pretty early to reserve a chair that offers some shade and they charge for the beach palapas (which you can reserve for your week) unless you want to stand in line for the 20 free ones they give away at 4:00pm each day. I would think a lottery of interested room numbers would be a more convenient way than standing for an hour hoping that you were not the 21st customer. Other than that we enjoyed our stay thoroughly. I hope this information helps with your planning.

I and a friend stayed at this hotel 2 weeks ago and I must say it is the best property I have been to in Aruba. The most noticable feature is the hotel has very good Air Contitioning and the rooms are dry as opposed to the other older hotels which provides Air Conditioning but the nrooms stay damp.

The staff is very friendly, I find this to be same for all of Aruba but this hotel, they go the extra mile to make your stay a very good one.

It has 2 pools, one for Family, with a swim up bar and one opn the other side of south tower which is an adult pool only where you can reserve Cabana's, umbrella with 2 lounge chairs or just soak up the sun any where else. It also has a bar, not swim up but pretty close to the pool and the GYM is adjacent to the pool area, very quiet.

Of course, this is a ocean front property with plenty of Palapas, must reserve these and lots of activities to do.

Jolly Pirate ship is right next to the hotel.

As for construction, I did not have those rooms but that side of the Ritz is completed so for those money concerned, get that room. They are located north of north wing tower but has limited view but you see the sea and a very expensive residential area in Noord.

First floor, very accesible but noisy is you are on family pool side, as fun is happening all day.

South side overlooks the adult pool so is very quiet.

There is a casino on site. 24 hours Lobby restaurant where you can grab a quick snack. Casino is also opened 24 hours. This property is also attached to the surf and Ocean club.

I put this info here as I have not found anyone else say it, NO YOU CANNOT USE THE CLUBS POOLS and there is a sign as you approach the property expecially, the lazy river.

There is entertainment in the lobby/pool/casino in the evening, very good singers.

There are a few shops on site, Bazaar has all your gifts needs and compared with Oranjestad shops, prices are competitive as you have very exensive stores like Gandleman which sells watch for an easy 35,000$. The lowest I seen if 5200$.

There is always lots of staff in all departments, I recommend learning Spanish if you want to relate to housekeeping staff and some of them don't speak English but all other staff do.

This is a newly renovated hotel so you can feel like you have a good room same as home hotels.

I did not put any photos here as there so some that shows everything already here.

Room Tip: West rooms has the best views of the water. Center has best view of Garden and water and sunset. T...

Just came back from Aruba and loved it, as usual. The Marriott was great. The staff is very helpful and friendly and just couldn't do enough for us. The hotel is in great condition. Our room was large and very comfortable. We ate breakfast every morning in the hotel, and it was just fine. Service with a smile....Aruba is just great....Great restaurants all over, and the people are the friendliest around. Don't hesitate to stay at the Marriott. The Ritz Carlton is almost done next door, and will probably be ready by the end of the year. Looks great....
