My husband and I went to Aruba for our one-year Anniversary and had a great time! The Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino definitely had a big positive impact on our vacation.

The hotel staff are very nice and helpful, starting with the refreshing tropical drinks you get upon arrival. The rooms are a good size, all have balconies, and the grounds are kept immaculate. The concierge staff was extremely helpful in choosing restaurants (there are many good ones on the island!) and making reservations for us.

The real highlights of the hotel are the beach and pool. The beach is beautiful - with nice water and sand, and no one bothers you trying to sell things, etc. - it is totally relaxing. While you do need to get up early to reserve a beach hut, I don't think there is a lot to be concerned about regarding this. If you don't get a hut, there are plenty of shady spots under palm trees and there are staff on the beach to help you get a good spot. Also, many of the "hut dwellers" vacate their huts starting in the late morning/early afternoon, so you may be able to occupy one of the huts at that time. The pool was also very nice - clean and lots of seating.

While we did not try all the restaurants in the hotel, they all looked good and there was a lot of variety. We did partake in the daily brunch at La Vista Cafe, which was very good. There are also places in the hotel where you can get a sandwich or snack to take near the pool or beach, so you don't have to go out for a "complete lunch" every day.

We definitely recommend the Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino, as well as Aruba in general!!

P.S. Rent a jeep, not a car, if you plan to go sightseeing.

My husband and I went to Aruba for 1 week, the last week of September. We stayed at the Marriott Resort. We loved it and hope to go back next year around the same time. We have been to many carribbean islands and hawaii and this is our favorite by far. The snorkeling was unbelievable! Must book Roberto's for a private snorkel adventure. The people were so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious!! The resort was perfect. We like to travel in September because it is our anniversary month and my parents are in town to watch our children. You have to be very careful where you go in the carribbean...Aruba's weather was perfect!!! Looking forward to our next trip there!!!!

We just returned from a week in Aruba. We spent 4 nights at the Marriott Ocean Club and 3 nights at the Marriott Resort/Casino. Both locations were clean, comfortable, and had outstanding service. The views from both of our rooms were spectacular, and the rooms were very spacious. Everyone at the Marriott was friendly and helpful. Don't bother renting a car- the bus stops right outside the hotel and is only $2.00 round trip to downtown. We did rent an SUV for one day to explore the island: natural bridge, natural pool, and baby beach. Only go to the natural pool if you are an adventurous driver! Overall, we had a great time and hope to return soon. We will definitely stay loyal to Marriott for future vacations.

Our stay at the marriott was great we had a island view on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool with a walk in closet a very comfortable king bed and a large balcony. The hotel was great overall even though when we arrived our room was not ready for about an hour but that gave us a chance to grab lunch. The hut situation was the biggest disapointment as guests get in line around 6:30 for a hut but it does not open until 7:30 not much you can do if you want a hut but to get up early and wait in line. The staff and cleanliness was outstanding and would reccomend this hotel, we checked out the other hotels on palm beach and the marriott ranks right up there with the hyatt wyndom and raddison. also was impressed with the allegros grounds. The sports bar champions was very nice great place to watch the games the other restaurants were very good also in the hotel all in all cant go wrong with the marriott.

My new husband and I booked our trip to the Marriott on a discounted web site, so we were terrified of what the "garden view" room might look like. We had read reviews saying they overlooked parking lots, etc. Maybe we just got lucky, but we were very pleasantly surprised, and so glad that we had not paid up to $800 more to stay in an ocean view room. The garden view was lovely, with palm trees blowing in the wind. We actually spent quite a bit of time on the balcony. The king sized bed was very comfortable, and the room was impeccably clean. The hotel gave us honeymooner t-shirts and a bottle of champagne, and we got free bottles of wine at several restaurants because we were honeymooning. The Simply Fish restaurant at the hotel is good food with a great atmosphere. You can't beat a candlight dinner on the beach, complete with cute little crabs crawling around the beach under your table! I've been to many beach resorts all over the Caribbean, and this one has been the best overall in terms of food, room quality, and service. Our only complaint was that the hot tub was always crowded. We had a great time, and will definitely stay at the Marriott again on our next trip to Aruba!
