We just came back from our honeymoon in Aruba. We stayed at three different resorts, in order to get a sense of the entire island. We first stayed at the Bucuti, then the Radisson, and then the RIU. We loved both the Bucuti and RIU.
PROS: The beds and tvs are nice. The pool is beautiful, as is all the natural wildlife on the resort. The location is excellent, if you want to be in the high-rise area.
CONS: EVERYTHING ELSE! I can't say enough bad things. Motel 6 and La Quinta are better than this hotel. Their service is terrible. We were in the Bonaire tower. The rooms are paper thin, and you can hear everything. We were connected to a family with kids. 7am every morning we woke up to cartoons and screaming children. Not a way to spend your honeymoon. Apparently, the same thing happened to another couple who stayed in the Aruba tower. They opted to upgrade to get out of the situation. After they upgraded, they were very happy apparently. They had a huge suite in the Aruba tower, but it cost them an extra $1000. And, they said the walls were still quite thin. We didn't need a suite, just a room without screaming children. The window blinds in our room were broken, so we couldn't open up our room, and see the outdoor. We rarely received maid service. I asked for help from concierge several times, and they knew nothing. They couldn't tell us the price of a cab or how to take the bus. They couldn't help me make reservations. They never answered their phone. Worst service on the island.
The costs of drinks are ridiculous...like $8.50 for a Belashi!! We stayed at the Bucuti, the nicest hotel on the island, and the drinks were not close to that cost!!
The restaurant service was terrible, and was the only bad dining experience I had in Aruba. I had to go to the kitchen to get my own food multiple times, because our waiter never came back around to give us napkins, or refills, or the food we ordered. Then, they forced gratuity!!
They gave us casino coupons. I waited at the casino in line behind one person for over 30 minutes to redeem the coupons. I gave up. They were so rude.
I literally have nothing good to say about the Radisson. I will definitely stay anywhere else next time. Luckily, we planned all our outings and dinners during the week we stayed there, so we weren't at the hotel enough to let it ruin our trip.
My suggestion. If it's your honeymoon, stay at the BUCUTI (Tara suites if you can), or stay at the Hyatt or the RIU. Stay away from the Radisson.
If you want one of the few good rooms at the Radisson, be prepared to pay their top dollar. Your bes...

Thank you for your candid review. All I can say is 'WOW'. This is certainly not the hotel that I work in everyday, nor the service that we are well known to deliver to our guests on an extremely consistent basis. I am ashamed that you had such terrible stay with us. What a great pity that we did not meet before your departure, as I am absolutely certain that any issues or concerns could have been rectified on day 1.
Please do write to me at firstname.lastname@example.org so that I might understand more details, and do my very best to make things right for you.
I look forward to hearing from you.
