“Surprisingly nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

We stayed here for a 8 nights and loved the resort. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept. Everything at the resort is well taken care of. Staff are all friendly. The rooms were nice, more spacious than we expected. We stayed in the Curacao building and loved the proximity to the dive center.

Room Tip: We had a fifth floor room in building 3 and it was very quiet. They give you an empty small fridge...

Thank you for your review. We are happy you enjoyed our resort and all the wonderful amenities we have to offer. The diving in Aruba is good and our dive shop is right on property.

“A great reason to revisit Aruba”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

My husband and I have been to Aruba 5 times and have stayed at the Radisson every time.
I now know why people keep returning to Aruba and especially this resort.

It has everything! It has the longest beach of any in the high-rise Palm Beach area and the grounds are impeccably kept. The food in the restaurants is exceptional - the Sunset Grille is totally upscale and breakfast in Laguna's is delightful, overlooking the lagoon stocked with fish.
Lunch at Gilligan's was adequate ( although I wasn't crazy about the one dinner we had there), and drinks at the bar were yummy. Happy hour 2 for the price of 1 was fun too.
Instead of just 1 rectangle olympic looking pool, there are several irregularly shaped pools running throughout the facility making it attractive and interesting. As a result, you don't have chaise lounges lined up like soldiers around the pool.

We find the peaceful and serene setting conducive to total de-stressing.
If I could find any fault it would be that not every room has a water view - but this is not important to me.
The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Rooms were recently renovated as was the lobby.
I used to wonder why people I know would keep returning to Aruba - now I know why and I have become one of them.
We considered going to a different resort but nixed that idea in a nano-second. The Radisson is the place to be!! So many great restaurants in walking distance!! We love it!!!!

“Radisson Rules”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

We left the freezing Iowa temps behind and our trip was Awesome. The staff at the Radission are top notch, friendly and at all times helpful. The grounds and the beach at the Radission are the nicest hands down. We walked thru most of the other beaches and grounds and alot of them had less room, were dirtier, and looked not half as classy and nice as the Radissions. The rooms have awesome beds and are great.. Thats all I can tell you about them as other than sleeping there, we never used them cause we saw no reason to be in our room. For those people on here complaining about the room view of other little picky room details, they are low life losers. There's simply no reason to be in your room when its just a few steps to paradise. Hope to be back sometime, and definatly will pick the Radission again.

Room Tip: Drinks are expensive so we took and soft cooler and bought alcohol at the grocery store down the str...

“First visit to Aruba was a great success!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

My husband and I just spent 4 nights at the Radisson and were very pleased. When we checked in, we decided to do a little "room shopping" and looked at 4 different rooms. The staff was very patient and accommodating. We ended up in Room 1608 in the Aruba Tower. As with most hotels in Aruba, very few rooms actually face the ocean directly. Most of them are on the side of the building and, consequently, overlook other things like roofs and parking lots in addition to the ocean. Ours had a pretty good view of the lush gardens and the ocean without other ugly stuff. The rooms were all similarly appointed -- similar furnishings, though some were slightly larger than others. The plaza rooms were the same as other rooms, but had a butler, breakfast, and afternoon drinks included. Not worth the price in our opinion. All the rooms were very clean and in good condition.
The beach was definitely one of the nicer ones in the high-rise area. We stopped in at the Marriott and their beach had lots of shells and seaweed. Their pool area also appeared to be more extensive, but definitely more crowded than the Radisson.
Some nice amenities: On Tuesday evening, there is a manager's cocktail hour with free drinks and giveaways. Also some drinks are BOGO in the afternoon at Gilligan's.
2 minor quibbles: The shower in the Aruba Tower could not maintain a consistent temperature. It swung from being very cold to very hot every few seconds. It made showering pretty unpleasant. Also, the bathroom door was basically a pair of shutters. It gives a bit of visual privacy, but no other privacy.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

“Great place for wedding guests”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

Our daughter got married at Pure Beach restaurant and almost all guests (30) stayed at the Radisson. Lisa Dammerman was awesome to work with as was Nelson! We were able to secure a great nightly rate by guaranteeing 10 rooms for a given number of nights. We were treated exceptionally well from the moment we entered the hotel! The room for the bride and groom was a once in a lifetime accomodation!!! There were always plenty of chairs for lounging by the pool and the cabanas ($25/day, I believe) were a great place to gather. They even supplied a cooler with the cabana. Our rooms were well kept and cleaned on a timely basis. Partial ocean view overlooked the parking lot as well and the balcony was quite small but we didn't spend a lot of time in the room. The room itself was spacious and lovely. Though small, it was nice to have a casino right off the lobby. It turned out to be a fun place for all (adult) ages to hang out and play into the wee hours of the morning.
This is our 4th time in Aruba and Palm Beach is our favorite. The Radisson is located in a perfect spot! Lots of beach front and most anything in walking distance. The "find" this time was dining at Daniel's across the street. Food, drink, service was awesome and reasonable! It was so good we returned a second night. Also dined at Barefoot (~$17 cab ride) on the beach. Hearing we had newlyweds in the party, they immediately came to the table with 10 glasses of champagne!! Great food, ambiance.
Casual dinner/drinks at Gilligans at the Radisson. Average food; good service.
Since there is no where on Trip Advisor to review a wedding planner I am going to do so here. Bonny Stanley (Aruba Weddings by Bonny) was absolutely amazing!! Her flexibility, attention to detail, reassuring demeanor, relationships with vendors, "can do" attitude made the planning and the entire wedding flawless and AMAZING!!! Though rare, we were met with some rain the evening of the wedding. No worries, Bonnie had everything covered! If we had the reception at the Radisson, Lisa Dammerman would have been equally awesome!
Because of some changes at Pure Beach (at the Divi Phoenix) and some recent reviews, I had some concerns that the Pure Beach we knew and loved had changed. All I can say is it was PERFECT from start to finish. No better ambiance and the food and service was absolutely impeccable. Further reviews in the restaurant section of tripadvisor but I would choose Pure Beach without any hesitancy!!
We couldn't be more pleased with the entire experience.
