Absolutely loved the Radisson! Loved the location, loved the lobby, our room, the lush grounds, the beach and the pools! Everything was perfect!
The lush landscaping and beautiful waterfalls are a signature touch. It makes for a truly beautiful entrance. The lobby is cozy and very comfortable. They serve you with chilled towels as you walk in and you can help yourself to some tropical punch all day! The staff was truly great!
Our room was on the fifth floor in the Aruba Tower, we had an Ocean View. The Aruba Tower is attached to the lobby, just take the elevator up to your room. I loved that! It made it very easy to get in and out. The room was great! The bed linens were very luxurious and comfortable. I could see the ocean from my pillow! The bathroom is very spacious, all marble. And I just love the wrought iron vase hanging with a plant! A beautiful touch!
The beach at the Radisson is the cleanest, the sand is clean and the water is pretty much algae free. We walked the beach everday and the Radisson had the nicest softest sand and cleanest beach of all hotels from the Westin to the Holiday Inn (Holiday Inn was the worst, tons of algae in the water and the beach had lots of little garbage).
The pools at the Radisson are the best, a little cold (I was expecting warm bath like water but...) They are great for kids, zero entry, and lots of room, you never feel crowded. I love the free form shape of both pools, and they both have this little area to clean the sand off your feet before actually getting into the pool. We tried swimming at night with the kids but, getting in was very chilly!!!
The restaurants, we tried Laguna (kids eat free), it was just ok, we also tried Gilligan's, better but very expensive. We also ate at Salt and Pepper, breakfast and late lunch. Smokey Joes, good ribs but they give you too much! You must order Deep Fried Oreo cookies, awesome! Charlies Pizza was good, great bruschetta. Overall, the food in Aruba is very expensive, and most restaurants frown on sharing meals. They usually state on the menu the amount they charge you for sharing your meal!
I absolutely loved Aruba and the Radisson, will return and stay with them again.
