“Outside Dining and Music”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2014

We have been to Madame Janette's many times in the past, but our most recent visit was memorable. They have a very complete menu and Wine List, but I opted for the Almond Crusted Grouper and it was delicious. The service was excellent and on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings they have live music which was a Guitarist and Singer Duet. It made the evening restful and an excellent wind-down from a pleaseant sunny Aruba day.

“What a disappointment!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2014

We read the reviews and expected a great experience, but it was SO disappointing! The service was pleasant, but the food was below average at any price and, in this case, overpriced even given the location. The salmon was tasteless, the sides stale. The grouper was ok, but just. I'm stunned at the ratings this place has otherwise received.

Expecting local fresh offerings, we were instead presented with airlifted asparagus which was then destroyed by overcooking so that the profligacy of flying asparagus to Aruba from Holland was that much less excusable. It came limp, pale, and drooping. The musician was no better, whistling "Layla" with the soul of the asparagus.

I have indigestion as I speak, from the goupy sauces (Hollandaise, go figure, and some other thing) and vapid ultra-Caucasian menu. If you are afraid of people with melanin, and the food they eat with the crisp freshness and piquant seasoning of the island, then this is the place for you: pale, tasteless, glopped with undistinguished goo, soulless.

“some changes”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2014

A difference with the staff and the very popular Dutch tenderloin was removed from the menu. I was disappointed. The wine is still too expensive and a small amount. After coming here from the beginning of their opening, we felt a difference.

“Delicious Food and Great Music”

We ate during an evening with a guitar player performing. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was relaxed. Definitely recommend Madame Janette's to everyone!

“Came with High Recommendations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2014

Wow am I glad I listened to friends advice. Had the responsibility of making reservations for a large group of us (14). Atmosphere was great, service was great and food was outstanding! A lot of dishes involving white asparagus because I believe they are imported from Holland. I do like asparagus and thought I would try an asparagus appetizer. Totally not disappointed. Main meals and dessert were wonderful. All 14 of us liked everything about this restaurant. Usually with that kind of crowd there is someone who wasn't happy, but not us, we all loved it. Short ride from the Palm beach hotels. I believe the cab ride for 4 or 5 in a car was either $9 or $11. WELL WORTH THE TRIP. Oh and if you like beer, they have a million beers.
