Description: After 10 years of experience in making “Dutch Pancakes" in our Dutch Pancake House in Aruba we get the people of Aruba, and of course the tourist who come to visit and enjoy this beautiful island, exciting for our famous Dutch pancakes, or what American call: the crêpes. They are handmade and baked with only fresh ingredients like we do on Aruba for 10 years by an old family recipe.

“Still simply the best dutch pancakes on the island”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2013

Our third year and still coming back here for more. Visited the Dutch Pancake House twice on this visit. The dutch pancakes are simply a delight - so thin and tasty yet so filling. Tried the ham and pineapple pancake/crepe and the apple and cinnamon crepe. Both were wonderful. Also had the daily breakfast special of poffertjes (mini pancakes) with scrambled eggs, toast, sausage and hash browns. For about $20 for 2 people, you will walk away full and satisfied.

“An amazing find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2013

The poffertjes, original small (medal size) pancakes are just awesome. We just walked by and decided to sit down without knowing what we were up to. Going through the menu, for breakfast, with my wife and three kids, they were going for crepes, but I saw the dutch pancakes and thought it would be good to try them, after all we were in a Dutch place. So everybody tried them and totally loved them. We came back for breakfast a couple more times, and also bought the poffertjespan and some mix to make them at home.
Excellent place.

“Tasty and relaxing breakfast!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

I tried several places for breakfast in Aruba, and I think for the money, quality, and service this is the best place for Dutch Pancakes. The high rise area has some quality and convenient breakfast places. However, it doesn't have the same care and quality that this tiny spot in the far corner of the marketplace has at the price.

They have covered outdoor seating, which I recommend. There is some traffic for people parking in the marketplace at times, but the rear tables have a water view and it is very comfortable with the fans under the canopy.

Service was prompt and all the waiters and waitresses were locals who were very kind with our questions regarding the menu. The menu has a great amount of ingredients to add to the dutch pancakes. Along with some classic dutch and english breakfast items. We each stuck with the pancakes. mine had leek and ham with swiss cheese and a small dutch salad on top which complemented the crepe style pancake beautifully. They were not greasy but light with fresh ingredients and great flavor. We also got an order of the profijerol which is like a silver dollar pancake with powdered sugar and butter. Equally delicious with a cakey/doughy center.

They are open till mid afternoon usually and can get busy on weekend mornings. We never tried calling for reservations, and were able to walk in and be seated immediately. Overall, this is a great visit for quality food at a great Aruban price. One of the least expensive meals we had and we got great portions and quality food.

“Overrated breakfast”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

We visited this restaurant for breakfast because of all the good recommendations on this site. Truth is we didn't get a better breakfast than we could have prepared ourselves at the resort. We ordered the breakfast special which consisted of scrambled eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, poffertjes and toast. Flavor was ok but way too expensive for what we got. Portions were ridiculously small. I ordered a side dish of scrambled egss (cost 3 U$D) and the plate had no more than 3 teaspoons of eggs on it!! I was so surprised I couldn't even complain.. Pofferjes were OK but not that surprising.. They are just mini pancakes covered in powdered sugar, that is all...

Service was ok, nothing special either.

We felt the 32 dollars we spent was a waste of money and would have rather spent them in the Starbucks nearby... Or in the supermarket bying the same ingredients to make a better breakfast ourselves.
