Description: Allthough the name Que Pasa is a familiar Mexican phrase, we are not a Mexican restaurant. Situated in a 100 year old, traditional Aruban building, in downtown Oranjestad. We offer an international menu. There is something for everybody. Besides our menu we are known for our daily changing specials. Our chefs make sure to create unique dinners every night and our attentive wait staff is there to make your evening special. We can accomodate everybody from families to large groups. You have a choice of dinning upstairs open air or downstairs a/c. The que pasa crew hopes to welcome you soon!

“Funky Art, Tasty Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014

They opened early for us and served us without a reservation, which was awesome. Food was delicious. Dutch staff were polite and fairly attentive. Seafood options tasted quite fresh. Drinks were tasty. Nice treat in Oranjestad.

“Nice local place”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2013 via mobile

Walking distance from Renaissance hotel, so in downtown area. We were a party of 8. Reservations were honored and we were sat within a few minutes of arrival. Very friendly staff, clean environment. Menu covered meat, fish, poultry, and vegetarian options. Several specials were explained and the staff was knowledgable on the items. We ordered from the menu as well from the special board. The French onion soup was excellent as well as the other soups on the menu. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food. The few that got the grouper thought it was undercooked. There were positive on all the other foods from the duck on the special board to the chicken que pasa on the menu. Servings were adequate. Cost per couple was $77.50 to include tip. Would rate this as 3

“Good food and drink in art gallery ambiance”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2013

Just a block away from the Renaissance Marina Hotel, two story Que Pasa on Wilhelminastraat offers indoor seating in a cozy ambiance with many for sale objects d'art decorating walls. Additionally, a roof top patio provides open air seating with option of people watching on the street below.
Welcomed by a pretty. blond Dutch waitress on a seasonal contract, we chose a cozy indoor corner table. A pleasant surprise was to learn, Que Pasa makes Margaritas without margarita mix using only triple sec, lime, and tequila - the way it should be. Needless to say, we ordered and very much enjoyed our Margaritas.
For our meal we ordered French onion soup, side salads, grouper over baked.with cheese and tomato, and a Que Pasa chicken with peanut sauce. The chicken entrée was easily the best chicken dish ever enjoyed anywhere, yet while we marveled over the tenderness, we also wondered about the size of the chicken, given the large cubes of meat. Perhaps Aruban chicken grow that large. Wine by the glass was good and of a nice pour size.
A surprise was to learn that if we pay with a Mastercard we would receive a free dessert, which turned out to be a mocha and strawberry ice cream.
All in all we came away happy with having enjoyed delicious, reasonably priced food in a nice ambiance, and we certainly would recommend Que Pasa. Would we go back, well the catch was that neither my wife or I slept much that night. It suggests either a chemical laden marinade was used to tenderize the chicken or some other food chemicals caused our reaction.

“Good Food, Fair Prices, Great Staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2013

We found Que Pasa based on Trip Advisor reviews and we enjoyed our visit there. I started with a wonderful cocktail containing a blue liqueur called Hypnotiq. We both enjoyed our choices of Chicken with Peanut Sauce. It was not the best one we have had here but it was certainly good. Que Pasa has an extensive and very adventurous menu to choose from including lots of specials. The prices were very reasonable and the service was friendly and attentive. I have been disappointed with many of the wines I have had by the glass but their Sauvignon Blanc selection from New Zealand was the best I had on the island. We tried their special dessert of the day, a Pineapple Pie with ice cream produced from a type of eggnog local to the island. I can highly recommend that. Overall this was a pleasant dining experience at a reasonable price in a location that is an easy walk from the downtown area.
