“LOVED IT SO MUCH!!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

This festival was amazing!!!!! It is every Tuesday at 6:30pm. Before the doors opened, they had a young steel drum bad in front, who were excellent! Admission was a few bucks, but well worth it! They had local crafters, authentic Arubian food, An emcee who described really interesting facts about Aruba & its people, Great dancers, singers, and at the end a really awesome brass band and carnival dancers! Then we took it all out front where we all stopped traffic with the band marching & people dancing in the streets! It was amazing!!!

“Fun, Colorful, Made Us Feel Very Welcome”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013

Every Tuesday this wonderful little open air show complete with M.C. goes on in the courtyard of Fort Zoutman (walking distance from the Marina downtown). We sat on white plastic chairs in rows. To the left, right and behind us were local people selling handmade goods, drinks, homemade desserts and great-looking food. I saw a lady with a plate of rice and chicken that looked delicious. The restrooms were clean. The show explains the customs, history , holidays and dance of Aruba through its music and dances. Brightly costumed dancers, live local band and a cheerful and upbeat M.C. made it lots of fun. Prices for the show ($5), desserts ($1 each) and crafts very reasonable. The banana cake was delicious! I bought 2 beautiful bracelets from a lady who makes bead jewelry. So pretty and reasonably-priced. By the way, it's Fort Zoutman, not Fort Guzman. They are Dutch, not Spanish in Aruba.

“Went on a bit too long”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013

For $5 it's great entertainment. The troupe goes through the calendar highlighting important cultural events in Aruba. Expected some kids in the performance and were disappointed that essentially the entire cast was 50 or older except for one singer. Surprised they did not play/sing the Aruban National Anthem. Doors open at 6:30 but show doesn't start until 7. Plenty of seating. Food/crafts/drinks available.
