“A nice resort that really makes for a great vacation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

The room was huge and clean – We had a 1 bedroom unit that had a galley kitchen, dining area, living room, ½ bath and patio on the first floor and a large bedroom with two closets and a full bath on the second floor. They have Dish for TV, so I was actually able to watch the Thursday night football game which I can’t do at home (Go Giants!). There is also a DVD player. The kitchen has no oven, but it does have a convection/microwave (it’s vacation – stop cooking!). The bed was comfortable. The unit did not have a view of the beach, but that is never an issue for us. While these buildings are older, they are well maintained. The grounds are beautiful and clean. The 3 pools are nice – each different, however, our preferred pool is across the street at the Divi Golf Resort. It is an infinity pool with a swim up bar (the bar also offers sandwiches, hot dogs and ice cream). There is a water slide, as well. The beach is an extremely short walk from the room. There are free chairs and permanent umbrellas made of palms all along the beach. Be sure to get out there by 7:30 in the morning if you want to get under one of these umbrellas, as people tend to save them, but then never even show up during the day. The location is excellent if you want to save some money and don’t go all inclusive. You can walk to three supermarkets. Also, if you are looking to save some money, check which on-property bars have happy hours and when they have them They are not always at the same time. I recommend renting a car for at least 2 days to explore the island (I rent for my entire stay) as the best snorkeling is north or south of the DIVI resorts and the dunes and lighthouse are certainly worth a visit. The new check-in location at the Golf Resort is huge and all 4 times I went over there, I was the only person so everything was fast. And the people that work at the report are extremely nice. We do not own here but we do plan on returning.

Room Tip: Try to get the 2 level one bedroom unit.

The first room they put us in smelled moldy and we found a huge beetle under the covers. The staff was very accomodating and upgraded us to a much nicer suite, then sent a complimentary gift basket for our troubles. We stayed for a week, the room was modern and spacious. There were great views of the golf course and playing the course was challenging for the average golfer like me. The staff was friendly and helpful and the resort was very clean. Great beach right across the street. Great destination to relax and lounge, however there was no entertainment at the resort, which would have been a bonus. We stayed with some friends and had to sleep on the fold out couch which was very uncomfortable.

We stayed one week at the Divi Golf & Beach Resort. The unit had two full baths and was very clean. The location is perfect, between downtown and the High Rise section; it is very quiet. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The restaurants on the property are all very good. Read your restaurant tab since most, not all, add the gratuity automatically to your check. The service is good so you might want to add a bit more for the server. The shuttle service at the resort is excellent and so is the bus service....no need to rent a car. Be careful though, we were tipping each time we rode the shuttle when we first arrived. We learned to tip only when we asked for a special favor. We loved it so much we traded our timeshare in Divi Little Bay St. Maarten to up-grade to this resort. Can't wait to go back for two weeks in 2013.

Room Tip: Stay in the "Eagle" section "4100-4200" units. Second floor units have their o...

We used a friends timeshare. Although spacious, the interior was very dated with a very small kitchen. Good location to walk to grocery stores, and bus areas. The outside area was beautiful, very clean. And the security was great. The pools were very clean, and well kept. Some of the other Divi buildings are newer inside. The entertainment and food at the Divi Resorts is great, and they are starting to update the Dutch Village Area, but as of now,not the best rooms weve been in, especially if your going to cook to save money. Also no dishwasher.

We had a great week in Aruba. We stayed at the Divi Golf and Beach Resort. We had a 1 BR and were impressed by the room we had. LR, kitchen, dining area, balcony, and BR. We also had a 3/4 bath and a 1/2 bath. Very spacious for the 2 of us. This resort has very good restaurants. Windows On Aruba and Mulligans. It has a number of beautiful pools that were very relaxing and the staff was very welcoming. Divi Golf and Beach is directly across the street from the beach...and what a beach! White sugar sand and aqua blue water. The beach was not too crowded and towels, beach chairs were always available. We asked for a unit near the pool and the beach and were pleased with where we were. We took the bus from the resort to the high rise area and found it very easy. An incredible vacation...we will definitely go back again.

Room Tip: We were in 3310. It was close to the pool and the beach.

Just got back from a week long getaway in a one bedroom, two bath suite. The unit was nicely remodeled and very clean. The second bathroom was a big bonus.

Check in was a breeze, we were in our room less than an hour after our plane landed. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

There was two drawbacks to this stay. First, the Monday night welcome requires you to schedule a "meeting" with one of there staff. A ploy to push their time shares. Don't signup for the party and just attend. Second, while it is on the menus beware that it is common to automatically add the tip to your bill. They will not point it out or remind you if you add another 15% or more to the tab.

Just returned from a week long stay here. Not a bad location. Very quiet location. In between the City and the High Rise district. Directly across the street from the beach. Excellent pool, although it closed early and they were pretty strict with it. We had rooms 4203 & 4204 which overlooked the pool on the 03 side and the canal and Mulligans on the the 04 side. With only 4 people this 2 bedroom we more than big enough. Our floor had private access to the 3rd floor hot tubs. We did some some shopping and some tours. The Concierge is very helpful with information, but they must have a deal with De Palm tours because they kept steering us back to that company. They even lied about a few of the other companies that we inquired about. I had inquired about some dive shops and they said that I would have to get my own transportation unless I went with the shop they told me. Not true, almost every tour group down there will pick you up at or around your resort. I didn't really appreciate those lies. Getting around the resort and to the adjoining resorts was a breeze, they had constant shuttles going anywhere you wanted. The longest wait was from the casino to our resort, but that wasn't bad , maybe 15 minutes. We ate at Mulligans and Sea-breeze on the resort. Both were OK, maybe not great. The drinks at Mulligans were much better. We did find it weird that you had to carry a paper resort card around if you wanted to get a drink or eat. It gets kind of soggy gong to the swim up bar.

Room Tip: The second floors have private access to the hot tubs on the roof decks
