“Great value and very relaxing.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2013

I very much enjoyed staying at Wonders. This is my last of 9 nights here. I haven't felt this relaxed in a very long time. As others have noted, the owner Gaston is an A+ host! He provided transportation from and to airport and he can help you with anything you need. Very knowledgeable. The building looks like a big house, and it only has 8 or 9 rooms. You don't have to leave the hotel to relax, the atmosphere is real mellow. I walked to the downtown area frequently, about a half mile away, maybe a little more. And there is a lot to do downtown! Casinos, restaurants and bars and stores. A very fancy (renissance) mall.

I rented a car for 5 days. You cannot walk to Eagle Beach from the hotel, and that is the closest beach.
There is a good reason why it is hard to book a room at this hotel! I think the place was 100% booked throughout my stay.

I had to spent one night in Aruba, waiting for my flight next day to NY-Paris-Bucharest. I arrived to Aruba island from Bogotá in the afternoon, around 5:20pm and Gastón was waiting to pick up me and go to the hotel. The room was wide, clean and comfortable. Simple, nice and practical. You have to use a normal key for the room door and for the main gate. Not too much people in the hotel, nice garden, green, trees, flowers, birds, even you can see parrots and other kinds of birds. TV and WiFi working quiet ok. Breakfast is delicious, and good enough. You can repeat coffee if you wants. If you need something, just ask to Gaston (Owner I guess, Administrator, Chef), he can help you all the time. Unfortunately for me, was raining during the night and in the morning next day, so I could not have the chance to use the pool, The pool is small, but enough to relax for a while swimming. Really if you are planning a vacation in a private, quiet and good place, this hotel is a good option. Just send an email to Gaston, through the webpage of the hotel and you can start your vacations with confidence. If you don not mind walking, just do it. the hotel is some blocks out of the downtown, otherwise will be a good thing rent a car.

I spent a week during New Years at Wonders, and even though it was high season I definitely found the peace and tranquility I was looking for. Its a beautiful house with a beautiful garden and swimming pool located in the heart of Oranjestad. You can walk to the Center and find easily transportation to the beaches, even though the owner offers always to take you.
The breakfast every morning served at the garden is wonderful.. I could only write good things about it so dont hesitate in having this experience for yourself!
Gaston is an excellent host.

Find your home away from home in this charming bed & breakfast hosted by Gaston! This conveniently located estate offers 8 secluded rooms, along with an expansive foyer and sizable swimming pool and garden area. Gaston is a thoughtful and considerate host who attends to all your needs.

The suites offer comfortable beds, kitchenette, spacious eating area, and large windows looking outside. Gaston's friendly pooch, Griffin, will quietly greet you each night and provide moral support while you consider that third cocktail you promised not to indulge! Just a short walk from all the local amenities, you can enjoy great shopping, food, and sightseeing. Gaston also tops it off with free Internet and parking. You'll love the place!

Room Tip: We stayed in the cozy room, the most economical of the choices, and we thought it was more than fine...

My wife and I spent 4 nights here at Wonders Boutique on our honeymoon and had a lovely stay. The owner Gaston is wonderful.... he provided complimentary airport pickup/dropoff, arranged for a rental car for us, and did everything he could from grabbing extra towels or snorkel gear for us to make sure that we had a delightful stay. Meals are available at the hotel (although we usually ate in town or out on the island), and there's a little grocery store about a block away where you can get banana bread or other breakfast materials if you don't want to eat in the hotel. There is gated parking on-site, and we found a car to be an excellent way to explore the island. Alternatively, Gaston was usually available to drop us off at a beach or other site if we needed the help. He clearly wants his guests to have the best experience possible and did everything he could to make us feel welcome. The pool is gorgeous, and we spent some time every day just relaxing outside enjoying the gardened pool area. The only slight negative to the hotel is the location. If you have to be in the 'touristy' area or on the beach... this isn't your hotel and I'd recommend staying in the high-rise hotel section. Wonders boutique is located just outside Oranjestaad (about a 10 minute walk) so you can easily reach restaurants there, but it's definitely in a residential area where predominantly locals live. This wasn't a problem for us, especially since we had a car and could drive anywhere we wanted to go but some travelers may not be comfortable with it. If you have any questions please feel free to ask us (or email Gaston... he's very responsive/helpful), and both my wife and myself would strongly recommend Wonders Boutique for a trip to Aruba.

My wife and I spent 5 nights at this marvelous small hotel just blocks from the center of Oranjestad, Aruba. The room was clean and comfortable, and the owner was a real delight. Very helpful with my every request and question. The pool was fantastic, as were the cooked to order breakfasts. Not on the beach, but Gaston will gladly drive you to one. And he also provided free airport transfers. We rented a car for exploring for 3 days, and the free secure parking on site was appreciated. We will be returning.

Room Tip: The middle class room was totally sufficient.
