“Good Local Food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2013

We stumbled on this place while looking at houses in the area and went in for lunch. Surprisingly good food and service; a little quiet but it was a quick meal. We were impressed enough to try it for dinner a few days later: the food was still quite good, the ambiance picked up a bit from the lunch experience but the service took a nosedive: the waiter seemed unsure of himself and we kept having to flag him down for drinks. It was an all male service staff at night but all female at lunch. Go for lunch!

“Bad service”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2012

I was there on a special celebration on last sunday and I am deeply dissapointed at the service there. Even thou I reserved in advance for 7 persons and 3 kids with the pre-ordered meal, it still took them 2 hours to even get our first drinks! It couldn't be because of the amount of people because there were only two couples and a small family of four. The girls that attended us where frowning and no eyecontact. They took a whole movie (we were wathing it there)and still waiting for food. I am a native and am only saying this to improve them. The only reason we didn't left, it because we were to weak from starvation to leave. Service means attention and smile: I would wait hours for food as long as I would be attended with a smile and attention. This was not the case here. Re-hire your staff please!!!

“Great Local Experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2012

Away from the resorts. Real local food simply prepared and delicious. The proprietor was engaging. We really enjoyed trying authentic Aruban cuisine. Only about a 10 minute taxi ride from the High Rise Section. Well worth the trip!

“lunch menu only had 3 items, we enjoyed all 3”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2012

Arroz con Pollo, Seafood Paella, and Fish Filet (I think it was grouper) plus 2 juices, 1 soda and 1 beer. Total came to US $42.00. Great lunch spot in between Philip's Animal Garden and the Casibari Rock Formations. It will be on your right side.
