Description: Aruba is all about the fabulous beaches during the day, and the many great restaurants at night. It is only logical that these two unique things of Aruba are combined into one! Luc & Gerco found the perfect spot to synergize great food, and a beautiful setting to create an experience almost unique on our island. When listening to the ocean caressing the shore, while wiggling your toes through the pearly white sand, why not let yourself be pampered by a gourmet dinner? Chef Gerco & Maitre d' Luc had a shared dream of opening up a restaurant here, but wanted something in line with what they enjoy on Aruba: the nearly perfect climate, the possibility to always be outside, the tropical feel... When opening their restaurant, they had these ideas in their heads, and it worked like a charm! Tables under a large palapa on a wooden deck with a view of the ocean, or outside under the Aruban nights sky, on the pristine beach... An original menu was created by Gerco and Justin, with some of the old school favorites (sirloin with bearnaise, or tuna steak with teriyaki) as well as some original dishes not found anywhere, with unique combinations (smoked salmon & shrimp, grouper & mango or leg & rack of lamb) and wonderful vegetarian dishes. With the help of the local wine suppliers, Luc made an extensive wine list, with wines from all over the world, and is always ready to pair a wine with your dinner. The experienced service team is friendly yet professional, ready to wow you from the moment you walk in, to make a fabulous evening into a great memory on Aruba!

“Best of the (sandy) bunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2014

On our recent trip to Aruba, we were just delighted with the several dine on the beach restaurants. We went to several and Barefoot was our favorite of the bunch. A wonderful setting -- needless to say -- but the food was what made the difference. Wonderfully prepared and with more attention to the flavor than we saw at the other restaurants. Highly recommended; if you have to pick one of these wonderful settings-based restaurants, make it this one.

“Barefooting For Dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2014

My goodness! Although we have been to this restaurant in past visits to Aruba, last night's dinner was one of THE BEST! We split an appetizer of escargot in mushrooms with garlic and smothered with a white cheese. OMG!
My wife is not a fan of curry. But I am. I had shrimp in a curry sauce. She had shrimp in lobster sauce over pasta. The food was exceptional and fit each of our tastes.
The srevice was exceptional. We asked for parmesan cheese, expecting dried cheese in a jar. Instead we got freshly grated cheese. Our waitress, Martina, noticed when the assistant brough our plates, that mine had potatoes instead of rice. She immediately went and got rice.
The view was very good, although there is a public beach next door.

“Excellent in all aspects”

Great service, great food and a great ambience with the setup right by, and on the beach. We've great experiences every time we've been at this restaurant, which has been once a year since it opened

“Worth it to dine on the beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2014

The location is second to none. Dine on the beach near the surf with the ocean breeze was wonderful. The food was very acceptable and we would return here to dine when on the island again. Service was a little spotty but this is one of those times that you really don't care due to the atmosphere.

“Great Food but on a Public Beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2014

We were so excited to eat on the beach. The service is exceptional and we were tended too almost too much! The drinks and food were prepared with great pride and were plate-licking good! The chef sampler dessert was awesome as well. I was surprised to be enjoying a gorgeous sunset and a romantic dinner while people walked their dogs and kids jumped off the pier. Overall though it was a great meal with exceptional service.
