There was nothing wrong with our experience with Barefoot.
Think about that and how incredibly rare it is.
We made reservations online weeks in advance, mentioning that it was for a special occasion (25th Anniversary), and not only did they manage to keep the reservation (unlike Madame Janette who seems clueless about their online reservations) they also remembered the occasion and had champagne for our party.
The restaurant is beautiful and offers toes in the sand dining (both inside and out!), and the outside seating is lovely. We ate early so as to see the sunset, but truly the way they have the outside dining area lit, it was even prettier when the sun went down.
The food was simply the finest we have eaten on Aruba during out two vacations there. The grouper with Mango cream cheese sauce was the best piece of fish I have ever eaten, and every person in our party made similar comments about their selections.
The wait staff was top notch, and by that I mean actually top notch by "normal" standards - not be the reduced Arubian standards that you come to expect after 10 or so dinners out. The wait staff was prompt, courteous, and helpful - offering to take group photos for any party that wanted it and enhanced the experience.
Barefoot is a bit out of the way - but is worth the extra time or cab fare, as it is without a doubt the best dinner experience we have come across on the island!
