Been here now for a week.
Very pleasant out of season atmosphere, quiet really but relaxing if that's what you are after. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and taken care of regularly. Nice wee pool and area to Sunbathe. Bring insect repellent. Mosquitoes after dark love feasting on my peely wally skin. (In English.....white pale skin)
All in all a nice place to come. Food is good with choices to suit most.

We only stayed one night as our flight was cancelled and needed a place close to the airport. Bar area was noticed right away by reception and was pretty loud. Our room was across the pool (which looked nice), but is also across from the bar, so we heard music until 2am. You can also hear vehicles speeding up and down the road outside the holtel and can get annoying. Room is average.
Breakfast was good.

Room Tip: Try and get one away from the pool area

Admittedly it was a very long time ago, but we were there in 2003 for a business trip - and extended it by staying at the somewhat less luxurious - than the resort we'd been at - Talk of the Town. However, in an odd sort of way I enjoyed Talk of the Town just as much. The big pool was memorable in a way the resort hotel's hadn't been - it was better for swimming in; big and with a diving depth which few hotels have now. The accommodation was quite basic and slightly shabby, but it was big and clean and comfortable. We were able to sit outside near the pool with our own table and chair area outside our own quarters. I liked that. It was good for the town and it had a bit of run-down 1950s/60s appeal that appealed to us after the excesses and pretention of the luxury resort which was not as comfortable as you'd expect. Above all, Talk of the Town allowed us a chance to extend our holiday in a good location. I can't remember the food but if it had been bad I'm sure I would have. Romantic - depends on who you're with rather than the hotel! I saw someone say it's been upgraded - well, we would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Ground floor near the pool is very nice. Need to watch out if you have small children though as the...

We booked one night before our condo became available to check in for the week. TOTT was highly rated on trip advisor. The hotel is over rated. The hotel's location is close to the end of the runway at the airport so there is jet noise until midnight. The rooms are small and furnishings are poor grade quality. The pool is ok. The bar music is loud until 2 am. Staff is pleasant and friendly. There is no beach access to speak of. There are better options on the island.

The hotel itself is a mixed bag. Nice pool area for the price. The rooms are old and outdated and very simple.

The main problem with this hotel is how noisy it is. With the open-air party that is going on next door every night way past midnight (3am is my best guess) you just won't get any sleep. I suppose that isn't really the hotel's fault, but from a guest's point of view, that doesn't really matter. I am usually a deep sleeper who isn't bothered by noise, but the bass beat almost shakes you out of your bed. Been here 3 nights and haven't slept much yet.
