“Nice relaxing Honeymoon”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013

The Divi All inclusive is a really nice hotel. The location on the beach is superb and our accomodation (through First Choice) was absolutley fine. You can see minor signs of wear and tear but the hotel are working hard to refurb the rooms, our bathroom was virtually brand new.

The pool area was great. Minor negative point was it was a little small. People who have left negative comments re the condition may have been getting mixed up with the Tamarjin down the beach which was not quite up to the same quality.

My Wife and I loved the Buffet. We couldn't wait to get in there. Probably put on about a stone! Most of the food is covered so not really any concerns about flies.

My only real negaive point about our stay was the US guests Sometimes it was difficult for romatic momentsdue to the loudness and they did seem to get preferential treatment around the bar. Maybe If you speak to people like they are a piece of [--] you get better service though!!. Yes I am stereotyping

Definately sticking to Cuba in future

My husband and I Love staying at the Divi all inclusive! There are many activities to do during the day at the resort and there is always entertainment at night. You can stay up late and hang out at the bar or call it an early night and head up to your room w/o the disturbance of loud music or people. I liked how you could make reservations for the resort restaurants and be guaranteed a place for dinner. We were happy with all of the restaurants and there is a great variety of food.I liked the option of swimming in the pool or the ocean. The shuttles are great between the resorts too! We got to try many pools, bars, restaurants and we got to know many people from all over. Overall I would say we had a wonderful vacation.

Room Tip: try and get ocean view. So nice to wake up and see the ocean!

This is our second visit. We are not at all disappointed in any way. The staff are so wonderful and friendly and always have a smile on their faces. The food is always excellent. If yiu dine the the restaurants or the buffet the quality is always first rate.

The weather is 32c at the moment but I must say a little breezy.

Stayed on a 14 night holiday travelling from Gatwick in May 2013. Having read some of the reviews on here prior to our trip I was a little apprehensive however from the minute we got there, we headed straight to the bar and never looked back!
The beach, as everyone else says is just beautiful and we spent most of our time on it, not spending much time around the pool although that was lovely too (Apart from the Bingo calling woman was far too annoying for me!)
The bar staff were perfectly attentive and within a day or 2, knew our drink choices and had these ready for us before we asked (I think manners go a long way as some people have complained about the service but I couldn't fault it!). Measures are huge and no cause for complaint.. The restaurants were fine, we particularly liked the Red Parrot and the Grill however the buffet restaurant was OK too with plenty of choice however the waiting staff here did seem a little un-enthusiastic at times! Windows on Aruba is definitely worth paying the surcharge..
Entertainment was OK, we stayed mostly at the Divi and didn't go to the Tamarjn too often, we enjoyed ourselves most nights.
If you look at the webcams from other areas of Island, don't be put off by how much the tree's are swaying! Trust me, you need to trade wind otherwise it does get very hot and it is a welcome relief.
The resort itself is kept very clean, yes OK the room may be slightly dated but the bed was very comfortable and again, we had no cause for complaint.
We found an Indian restaurant in the Town 'Taj Mahal' and it was a lovely change from resort food - Would definately recommend. Also, we did the Palm Tours Sunset Sail, this was a great trip and we almost did it a second time.. The Caribbean Festival though, we didn't enjoy this. We took a taxi to the area instead of paying for the excursion and we are so glad we opted for this.. The last half hour for the parade was good but the rest of it was poor with not a lot of food or drink choices.. The street stalls were badly lacking also but it is up and coming in this area (apparently).
Overall, we waiting a long time for this holiday and really did make the most of it and enjoy it.. Be warned, we were 2 hours delayed each way with the flights and this was the same for the 2 weeks before and the week after... It wasn't so bad though!
PS - Ladies.. I took my hairdryer and GHD's.. The GHD's worked but the hairdryer didn't but there is a small one in the bathroom which was OK.. Just might save you packing!! You will need an adapter for your plugs though which at the airport, are about £20! Also, suncream in resort shops was really expensive for the good stuff so stock up before you go and take plenty!
Enjoy!

Room Tip: Sea view... Without a doubt!

My husband surprised me with a
trip to the Divi for our 25th wedding anniversary because he proposed to me at the Divi 26 years ago. The beach is still specular! The pool area, restaurants, bars have all been renovated and looks great. The rooms however have not been updated and need major work at least in the section we were in. That was so disappointing to us. They were the same from 26 years ago. However the beach is so amazing and it takes less than a minute to walk to from where ever you are on the resort. The beauty of a low rise resort. We have been to Aruba several times and usually stay at the high rise hotels, but we would definitely come back to the Divi. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

A group of us stayed at the Divi for a family vacation in February and we had a blast! The room my boyfriend and I stayed in could have been a little more updated but we didn't care, we were only in the room to shower and sleep. The beach was fantastic, sunsets are beyond beautiful! The service was great, bartenders were friendly and waitstaff did a good job too. The variety of food on the buffet changed each day but always had several meat and veggie options. The fact that it's all inclusive was such a convenience, and restaurants outside the resort were just a quick cab ride away. I would definitely go back to the Divi!

We stayed at the Divi Aruba the last week of May through June 2. Our room was in Vista 1 overlooking the pool and beach. Awesome view. Overall we had a great time.
Positives: very clean rooms and bathrooms but could use a bit of refurbishing. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful.
The food was average but it fulfilled the worry of where one has to eat and how much.
Kudos to Edgar at red parrot, Elena at the gift shop and Sol at the tour desk. They really went out of their way to help and make our stay wonderful. The staff at the Sandpiper bar were great so no issues with them.More of your staff could learn from them

Negatives: Dayshift weekday staff at the Coco grill and bar. They were not friendly at all and always looked bothered especially Mario. They need a lesson in customer service. Some of The first shift staff at the Pelican terrace could also use some customer service lessons. Some ignored us and some looked annoyed when we needed something or asked a question.

Overall it was great and we would go back again. Loved the dancing and the entertainment and met a lot of wonderful guests. Gorgeous beach....

Room Tip: Rooms on vista 1 have great views of the pool and of the beach but you can hear the nightly enterta...
