“Hot rocks speciality”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013 via mobile

The name of the restaurant is a bit deceiving. However the dinner menus are very good . Tried the meat, lobster, and shrimp special and well worth the price. Plenty of tables and did not need reservations at 7pm. Good attentive service.

“Breakfast not their thing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012

My wife and I are pretty traditional breakfast people, so it's tough to not at least earn an average rating, but this place missed that by a bunch. We both had the All American breakfast, which is 2 eggs, toast, potatoes, bacon and sausage links. Egg were fine, potatoes soggy and chewy, toast stale, sausage shriveled beyond substance and bacon godawful (I love bacon, but this taste like,it had soaked in old grease for way too long). It's serve yourself bottomless coffee or tea, but come on...too much to ask that someone drops by with a coffee pot now and then? Service was prompt, so that's a plus. There are other place to check out nearby, so would recommend expanding your search beyond Le Petite.

“Terrible Service, Inedible Fish, and Bad Management”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

This restauraunt was on a list that was provided by Aruba Tourism through Jet Blue Airlines, which provided restaurant certificates to be used towards offsetting your meal cost. This is definitely one restaurant to avoid in Aruba, considering the many choices you have in this beautiful island. My wife and were staying at the Marriott and the Concierge made reservations for us, but when we arrived it was like they never knew anything and were very disorganised. I should have walked out then, but we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt which was a big mistake. We were given a table right close to the entrance where the wait staff must pass through to get to serve all the tables. The restauraunt was not that busy inside, but the service was very slow. No recognition by the wait staff for about 20 minutes, completely rediculous. I ordered a beer and she ordered a ginger ale to start, which was so tasteless and flat we requested a new one which seem to be a big inconvienience for the waitress. I ordered the surf and turf, and she ordered the fish of the day which was grouper on a hot stone. The entrees took about 40 mins before being served, hoping it was worth the long waiting time we waited patiently to be served. Finally being served, what a disappointment with the fish which was the cheapest cut of the fish which was butterflied with the skin attached and so tough like a well done steak. It was noted to the waitress, that this was fish and should be tender and moist, not something that you require a steak knife to cut through and was not edible. She called another person to try to explain how the fish should be cut and eaten, they did not get that what the were serving was unacceptable. My wife told them she was not going to eat the fish and that she would try a mussel appetizer instead. My surf and turf was adequate, but the rice and beans were cold and stuck together in clumps like it was sitting around premade for awhile, and the carrots and brocolli stuck in a small stainless container was laughable. When it came time to pay the bill, it took another 15mins as they said there cash system was down, it seems everything is broken in this place. The bill did arrive, and they were trying to charge for the inedible fish that was sent back, terrible. Sent back the bill to have the inedible fish removed from the total, inexcusable. The management of the restaurant which was noted as "Family owned" seem to be oblivious to what customer service is and what great food is about, no creativity and if there was any insperation by the cooks it sure was lost along time ago. There were other restaurants, which we tried during our visit which I can highly recommend to try, Amazonia (Brazilian Steakhouse), Aqua Grill (Seafood) which you will find fresh quality food, great service and management who really care about there customer experience.

“Worst service experience EVER!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2012

We were recommended to visit Le Petit by several of our friends that had visited Aruba. We were very excited to try this restaurant and we went there the very first night of our honeymoon. The waitress we had should be fired. She was awful and it was evident early on that numerous guests were annoyed with her. We waited for 20 minutes after being seated before we were greeted. When we finally got some service she was distracted and between her walking away in the middle of us ordering and shouting with other employees across the restaurant we began to get frustrated. During this time other guests around us were vocally upset with her and were getting up to leave or move inside to another member of the wait staff. After we ordered we never saw her until the food arrived. Not once did we get drink refills or any follow up on how everything was. I have never been to a restaurant where I had to signal the wait staff for help. After we ate our food which was only OK we asked for the bill. Like many of the other patrons we had to chase her down after waiting for a half hour for our check. I would understand if the restaurant was on a wait and bursting at the seams but the place was not that busy. After we chased her down, we walked inside and tried to talk with the manager but that was worthless. He was rude and his excuse for the wait staff was even worse. All he kept saying us how he had to come in on his day off to deal with things. There was no empathy or customer service provide. Eating at this restaurant was the worst dining experience we have ever had. Do not waste your time.
