Upon positive review from our friends, my mother and I decided to try the Driftwood's 3-course dinner special. The restaurant was a little tricky to find, since it's not on the main road, but well worth the adventure. We arrived after the dinner rush and were seated almost immediately. The regular menu is quite extensive, but we opted for the 3-course special, as the offerings were quite enticing. For appetizers, I ordered the fish croquettes with honey/mustard dipping sauce and my mother ordered the onion soup au gratin. Both were yummy starters. Mom and I like to order 2 different entrees and share; so I ordered one of the fresh catches of the day, Wahoo, sauteed in garlic and oil, and mom ordered the petite filet mignon which was about an inch thick. There was so much food, we almost couldn't finish what was on our plates. But, of course, we had to save room for dessert and coffee/tea. Mom ordered chocolate ice cream and coffee, while I ordered the homemade banana cake and tea (which I chose from a selection). Mmmm...mmmm...good!!! We received very attentive service throughout the meal and will definitely be dining at the Driftwood again.
