Description: Newly located in the Renaissance Marketplace downtown, Cuba's Cookin' has moved with the times just as when Fidel began his march on Havana in 1959. This is what Havana would have looked & felt like.... and when the live music starts up nightly....this is exactly what you would have heard & seen back then. A moment in history brought out in Cuba's food, mojitos, art, culture and dance. A real authentic dinning experience you will take home forever from your trip to Aruba.

“Great Dinner, Great Fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2009

We had a great time at Cuba's Cookin'. The atmosphere was fun, the music was fun and the food delicious. We went with our very fussy 13 year old who had plenty to eat and enjoyed watching her parents during the singalong. A great night was had by all.

“Good music, ok food and service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2009

This was our first trip into Oranjestad and it was not easy finding this restaurant on the one way streets. Its an unassuming building in a non descript part of the town. We were greeted with mild indifference since we had arrived without reservations (though tables were not all filled.) The service was slow and though the food may have been authentic, it was not memorable.

“great, different, authentic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2009

This little place, run by a guy from Montreal, has really awesome food, and a very cool opium-den type atmosphere (comfy couches next to some of the tables, several little rooms, live Latin music). It's great for family dinners and, probably, night time clubbing. I ate the best fish here of anyplace in Aruba, which is saying something. The rice and beans and plantains were awesome. They even serve matzo ball soup. The service is a little slow, but if you get into that Latin mood, you won't mind. Try it!

“Fun night out...good food and entertainment”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2008

Thoroughly enjoyed our evening at CC. Food, entertainment, atmosphere were all out of the ordinary, which is exactly what we were looking for. The live music and artwork on all the walls provided for a very lively atmosphere. Restaurant serves baskets of yucca chips and 3 dipping sauces when you first sit down, and we went through several baskets. Appetizers: Black Bean soup, ceviche and empanadas were all wonderful. The gazpacho was nothing like we are used to in the US. It is not a red tomato based soup, but a greenish tint instead. Not what we expected, and I guess we were a bit thrown off by it. Entrees: Chichen mufango was outstanding, as were the roast pork, skirt steak, and seafood platter. Fried plantains were also noteworthy. And yes, the tres leches (3 milks) dessert was as good as everyone said it would be.
