booked this resort thru Interval Int'l and really loved it there! The staff was friendly & helpful and the resort was clean and spacious. The view from the balcony was great too. Eagle Beach was beautiful & right across the street. The very pricey resorts further on down the beach had no where near as much beach space as we had! the only drawback in Aruba is how much the restaurants charge-outrageous! We also NEVER won in any casino! The water was always warm & the breeze was always blowing. I will definitely return & will only want to stay at Paradise Beach..... their restaurant was very good too!!

“Great time”

It was my first time, and I read some of the reviews of the Paradise Beach Villas before I left. Some were good and some were not, but have to say I was totally satisfied with the resort, its staff and its accomodations. It was very clean and easy access to the whole island. Its beach was NEVER crowed like some of the other resorts, and I had all kinds of time to relax and soak up the sun and atmosphere. My girl and I went with another couple who has done alot of traveling, and they were also very happy with our week stay.
Once we got back, we were already trying to book the same place for next year.
Two thumbs up. Some people are never happy even if they stay at the Ritz. Not sure what they are looking for, but it was all there for us.

PBV is a great little place for those who have been to Aruba and know what to expect and where to go. PBV has it's regulars as a lot of the units are timeshare. PBV is a cute little place with that comfortable feel. It has everything you need like the comforts of your own home while on vacation. Each room has a dining area and kitchenette. The rooms are cozy but a bit dated. The beds are pretty UNcomfortable but the rooms are clean. Check in and checkout are fairly quick and the staff is very friendly and extremely willing to please. The grounds are well maintained and the pool is large. The pool area seems to be divided with a fun side and more quiet side (further from the bar) both still close enough to the bar that you won't miss out on happy hour. There are always ample lounge chairs and table space. There are two restaurants one poolside open for breakfast and lunch and one main restaurant (La Petit) open for at least breakfast and dinner (not sure about lunch). There is also a deli/ice cream place, but in all my years going I think I have seen it open only a hand full of times ?odd hours. (Dunkin Donuts is located next door at La Cabana (name has since changed) within walking distance). There is a concierge available most days to help with booking outside excursions and they seem to be very helpful. There is a convenient store and nail salon on site. A bus stops out back (beachside fairly frequently) that will bring you to town or toward the high rises. Eagle Beach is directly across the street which is breathtaking.

With all of that said the only reason I say it is more for those who return yearly is because you have to take a cab to go to dinners and other activities which don't include transportation. It's a bit more low key and for those who just simply are going to relax! If you are planning a vacation which will include night time bar hopping and fun activities there isn't much action here at night as there are a lot of families and older people. Things seem to be packed up by 10pm. The hotel next door La Cabana is open later and they have a bar and a bit more of a night scene (still not much).

You can't lose with PBV if the price is right. Be prepared to rent a car or take a cab if you do chose to stay here.

“A Pleasant Surprise”

Paradise Beach Villas

About six months ago a good friend gave us one of their time share weeks at Paradise Beach Villas for this February. I immediately went to Trip Advisor to read reviews. The reviews were mixed and to be honest I was very concerned about going. However, we just returned from one of our most pleasant vacations and found Paradise Beach Villa to be a hidden gem. Not is the usual sense but in its quiet , relaxed .peaceful environment. If you are looking for glitz and glamor, crowds and action you will be very disappointed . The rooms are definitely very "80's " but they were clean and spacious. How much time do you really spend in your room when vacationing ? If you like to sit by the pool or are looking for one of the best beaches in the Carribean...look no further. I walked to the high risers daily as a part of my exercise routine and found that by 7am every beach chair was taken and they were on top of each other. One guest shared that she had to wake up at 5:30 am just to get a beach chair in this hotel section. The guests seemed to be lacking in any privacy and I would imagine they needed to spend more time in their rooms just to relax from the maddening crowds.
Paradise has only 80 units , they have a fun bar with a great friendly staff and a delightful breakfast and lunch menu that is not only tasty but reasonable in price. They also have a charming restaurant on the premises La Petit Cafe . Yes , there are better on the island but it was very tasty and acceptable...especially when you first arrive. Rita at the concierge desk was very helpful with dinner reservations ( I knew where I wanted to go but did not make advance reservations.) She got me in all my choices. The hotel is also located right in the middle of the Low and High rise Hotels and very close to some terrific restaurants. You don't need to rent a car. You can walk, bus and if needed easily taxi to many of your destinations. It is a $20 cab ride from the airport. We have stayed in many resorts in Aruba and found this to be a hidden gem!!
