We have just returned from an 11 night stay at Yepton Estate Cottages. The reviews on TripAdvisor were so positive that we decided to take a chance for the first time staying somewhere other than a large resort. We are so happy that we made that choice! The cottages are lovely and charming-spotless and completely furnished with everything you could possibly need to create a "holiday nest". The grounds are beautifully cared for and create a tranquil garden setting. A delightful surprise was the gift of getting to know Gabriela and Douglas. Their genuine kindness and concern for our comfort and enjoyment of Antigua was evident every step of the way-from providing prompt responses to questions before our trip, planning for our car and meals upon arrival, receiving an excelllent tutorial on navigating the island (with much appreciated encouragement to "give it a go!"), guiding us and making arrangements for 2 lovely day trips, and finally, going above and beyond to help us manage the 4 days before our luggage caught up with us! A real gem of the trip was getting to know Gabby and Douglas-we left feeling that we were leaving good friends. This was a 5 star experience in every respect.

We stayed at Yepton Estate Cottages at the end of April/beginning of May this year, and were completely overwhelmed by the welcome Gabi (English and German - no problem!) and Douglas gave us. Nothing was too much trouble, and we have never before experienced such hospitality on the part of our hosts - and we travel a great deal!
Gabi drove us to town to show us around, and Douglas was a veritable fund of information on the island, its history, and all its sights.
The hotel itself is small and select, with only 4 cottages grouped next to a salt-water lake. The furnishing of the cottages and the kitchenette appear to be brand new - certainly everything one could wish for is there. The lake is home to a number of birds, predominantly waders and ducks, and some of them rare. For enthusiastic photographers the humming-birds and tropical butterflies are a permanent challenge, and one I could not resist!
The nearest beach is mere 5 minutes' walk through the hotel next door, and is good for swimming as well as sunbathing (sun-beds and shades provided by the hotel.) If you want to go further afield, Gabi is more than willing to help in arranging car-hire. And there's a coolbox to take along if you fancy eating and/or drinking al fresco.
Would we come to stay again? Yes, yes, and yes again!

All I can say is Wow! My wife and I spent our first 4 days of our honeymoon in Antigua at an all-inclusive. Then we wanted to spend the next 7 days with Gabby and Douglas at the Yepton! We rented a car and spent our honeymoon exploring the fullness of this wonderful Island of Antigua. We were warmly welcomed and helped the entire time by Gabby and Douglas. If you want to go exploring the island and have a full time getting to know great people go here.The cottage was amazing. All we needed was there: dishes, hammock, beach chairs, cooler!!! And more. I'm telling you this is the place to stay!!! Thanks Gabby and Douglas!

We stayed in a studio here for part of our honeymoon. Very cozy, romantic, and extremely well equipped. Our hosts were amazing, always ready to meet our requests, and far exceeded our expectations. Very glad we stayed here and hope to return. Definitely rent a car, visit Half Moon Bay as well as the calmer beaches on the Caribbean side. An overall wonderful experience.
