My husband and I were here from 15 - 22 December. We were looking for someplace quiet, private, and relaxing. We chose Yepton based on the glowing reviews and we are so happy we did. It exceeded our expectations in every regard.

The cottages are wonderful - fully equipped with everything you could want. The grill on the patio was awesome - we cooked on it almost every night and loved eating outside while we enjoyed the view.

Gaby and Douglas are just as fabulous as everyone says. They brought our luggage to the cottage, had drinks and a card waiting for us (it was our one year anniversary), took us grocery shopping, arranged taxi's, a rental car, and a day trip to Barbuda for us, went over a map of Antigua to help us plan our day exploring... I could go on and on... Gaby even brought over some rubbing alcohol when she heard I had bug bites and one other time brought over olive oil, because I had forgotten to get any at the grocery store. Where else are you going to get this kind of service???

My husband and I have both traveled extensively and have stayed in all kinds of places - from hostels to All-Inclusive Resorts, and my husband says this is absolutely the best and favorite place he has stayed. I'd have to agree. We loved our vacation, would go back in a heartbeat, and will miss chatting with Gaby and Douglas.

Gaby, I hope Douglas liked the lotion! :)

  • Liked — Gaby and Douglas, peace and quiet, fully-equipped cottages, grill on the patio
  • Disliked — not having a view of the beach - but still a nice view

This is without a doubt the best little resort in the Caribbean. Our accommodations were casually elegant. The location on a private lagoon with quick access to two beaches was spectacular. And the hospitality was far beyond what you expect even at a five-star hotel.

We chose Yepton Estate Cottages for our wedding and honeymoon based on previous reviews. After looking at all the standard chain Caribbean resorts that most people think of, we decided to make our wedding exceptional by looking for something that was quiet, beautiful, exclusive, friendly and helpful. Yepton Estate Cottages far exceeded our demanding requirements. It seemed there was nothing that we needed for the marriage or our comfort that wasn't taken care of almost instantly.

Our hosts, Gabriella and Douglas, had vast knowledge both of Antigua's legal requirements and of the lovely island itself. Needless to say based on our rating, this was the experience of a lifetime.

We have just come back from a week’s holiday at Yepton Estate Cottages. It was a real wow! As soon as we stepped from the taxi, the owners – Gabriela and Douglas were there to greet us warmly and without fuss. Registration was easy and Gabriela offered to take us into St Johns the next day to stock up with food & drink, which we gratefully accepted.
The cottage overlooked the lagoon and the setting was very tranquil and peaceful. The interior of the cottage was very tastefully and elegantly fitted out and so spacious. What amazed me was the shine from the pots and pans hanging over the ‘kitchen workplace.’ The cottage was very thoughtfully kitted out with a cool box and barbeque and hammock on the balcony. The complimentary bottle of wine was a very nice gesture and we went for more!!!
The next morning we were pleasantly surprised to see so many birds in and out of the lagoon. (posted some pictures) We went shopping with Gabriela and were able to stock up quite a bit for the week. We decided not to hire a car although the cottage is about 25 minutes drive from St Johns and there were no shops or supermarket within distance, but this did not stop us having a good time. We wanted to see Devils Bridge, Half Moon Bay, Betty’s Hope and a few other places and Gabriela organised a taxi driven by Captain Spencer. We had an interesting and informative outing that day.
On another day, we walked to the main road (about 20 minutes) to catch the No 61 bus to St Johns bus station (EC $5 equiv. to approx. £1for the two of us) and then the No 17 bus to Nelson’s Dockyard at English Harbour (EC $7+ for 2 ). It was an adventure and the people were so friendly and what was nice was the people that came on board would say ‘good morning or good afternoon’ to all. The bus plays music and on the one to the English Harbour, people were singing away to the songs.
We also booked to go to Shirley Heights on the Sunday evening and were very lucky to have Captain Spencer as our driver again. This trip is a must, with good music and a fantastic view of the sun setting.
Douglas and Gabriela are very thoughtful owners. Douglas walked around sometimes and had a chat, helping with ideas of things to do on the island. Gabriela also offered to get us things when she went into town.
I could rant on and on and no, but we loved this small and intimate resort. We love self catering because we like to get out and about and within our own timetable. Not having a car didn’t hamper us in our travels in any way.
One of the best things (amongst others) about this place is the lagoon. There are so many different species of birds to see.
There are two resorts close by, Coconut Beach Club and the Royal Antigua, which you can use. The bay at the Royal Antigua was calmer than Coconut Beach, and less crowded. It almost felt like a private beach! In fact, there was a lovely calm sea breeze when we walked there one evening to watch the sunset and the scenery was simply beautiful.
We had a Wonderful time there and would recommend Yepton Estate Cottages to anyone who wants a holiday to chill out and relax.

Yepton was the perfect place to stay. Not only was the cottage well equipped, and clean, but Gabby and Douglas really made the place. They were so helpfull with everything we needed and went above the call every time. We were very lucky to have stayed there.

My husband and I just came back from a week (definitely not long enough) from the Yepton Estate Cottages in Antigua. From the minute we got there, the car rental place (which Gabriela helped us get) were wonderful. We got to the cottages and Gabriela and Douglas (the owners) started right away with the terrific service and helpfulness. The cottages are beautiful, clean and fully equipped with everything. Gaby and Douglas help you with any and everything you need. All the reviews on this place are 100 percent correct. Definitely rent a car, it is so worth it to explore the great beaches and the freedom of going where you want. One word of caution, be careful of the roads for the potholes, lol. The people of Antigua are very helpful if you're lost, they come right up to you to ask if they can help. The casino we went to, King's Casino, in St. John's only takes US dollars which was fine for us. St. John's is less than 10 minutes away from the cottages. The property of Yepton is so peaceful and beautiful and clean. We wouldn't stay anywhere else and we explored. This is the nicest atmosphere and the key to this place are the owners, Gaby & Douglas. They are what makes it even more special.

We already miss Antigua, Gaby & Douglas~~
