Yepton Estate Cottages are situated in an idyllic, secluded spot in Antigua, a couple of minutes walk from the beach and a couple of minutes drive to St. John’s.

Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Gabriela and Douglas, our hosts, who recommended all the must-see corners of the island. That was the start of an unforgettable 2 week stay. The cottages were absolutely spotless and had everything that you could ever need and more… beautifully decorated with original artwork by Gabriela.

Gabriela and Douglas were the most interesting and accommodating hosts, who know Antigua inside out, always ready to give advice but never overwhelming in their manners. Their unrivalled hospitality, paired with the wonderful surroundings, is an unbeatable recipe for a fantastic holiday.

The cottages are beautiful, very clean and nicely located at a little lake and only a few steps away from the beach.

The interior of the cottages is excellent and you will not miss anything that you have at home, including a barbecue on the veranda.

The reason why we give for out of five stars is only related to the overall impression of the island. The sand flees and mosquitos can be very annoying after dusk. The price in some restaurants is not in line with the service and quality.

You need to rent a car to get around on the island. We tried it with mountain bikes but it turned out to be difficult with the traffic.

Also we still did not understand why you have to pay money to be allowed to leave the island.

This are probably no suprises for experts in terms of carribean vacations. Overall we had a great vacation and would like to thank Gabi and Doug for their great hospitality.

Just returned to Scotland after a week at these lovely cottages and already dreaming about another trip ! Stayed at many places around the world and this rates amongst the best .
Lovely tranquil setting around a private lake- plenty of opportunities to chill out on the terrace and observe the wildlife, but an uncrowded beach situated in front of the Coconut Beach hotel within 5 mins walk, hotel also has a reasonably priced evening menu if you don't feel like cooking.
Cottages are spotlessly clean, cool , quiet and equipped with everything you need, including a gas barbecue for dining al fresco.All equipment is top quality stuff.
Gabriela and Douglas are wonderful hosts and helped us to get the most out of our visit - Douglas is a mine of information about the island's history and helped us find some wonderful deserted beaches .
Car hire is advisable to get around and Gabriela has some good advice about this.
We fully endorse all the positive comments about Yepton Cottages which have been made. If you're looking for somewhere to relax we can highly recommend it!

Oh My GOD – where can I begin!! We went to Antigua for our honeymoon and decided to stay at the Yepton Estates Cottages because I was looking for something a little more private and intimate rather than a resort filled with hundreds of people. From the time we drove up in our taxi Gabriela and Douglas were very hospitable. They actually treated us like family!!! They were so helpful when we had questions and they helped us pick out activities to do while we there.

The landscaping surrounding the cottages is beautiful & well maintained. Full of lots of green, trees, plants, flowers & and of course the pond. We were able to see some really cool birds while hanging out in our balcony. Douglas let us borrow his boat to fish in the pond, but we didn’t catch any fish – they actually jump out of the water and smile, but never bit the hook! 

The cottages are super cozy & equipped with everything you will need in the kitchen. It really made my cooking experience there extremely comfortable. It was like if I was in my own house. There were beautiful paintings decorating the cottages that were painted by Gabi (the owner), it really gave it a nice touch. Not to mention that Gabi has an excellent choice of wines in her office for us to purchase….. VERY YUMMY!!!

The island in itself has some beautiful breathtaking views and friendly people, but once again I must take my hat off to Gabi & Douglas. They really spoiled us and set the bar of what superb customer service should feel like!
