If you are looking for a quiet, secluded, relaxing place to visit; then Yepton Estate Cottages in Antigua is your place ! ! ! Douglas and Gabriella are the most accommodating owners/managers you will find on the island (or probably anywhere in the world, for that matter). Gaby and Douglas treated my wife and I like family. Anything we needed, they were on top of. The resort is beautiful. The scenery is gorgeous and serene. The sound of the ocean is perfect from the cottage. You can hear the waves, but you don't hear them crashing too loudly. Just enough so you know that the ocean is right there. Perfect for a honeymoon. I know that it sounds too good to be true, but that is why I said "you have to see it to believe it". The property has the prettiest birds and ducks making their way around the pond outside the cottage. We arrived at night and we did not get to see anything until the next day, but that was like waking up on Christmas morning and seeing presents under the tree. Beautiful ! ! ! Antigua is beautiful ! Never have I seen such a pretty place (even in a picture). This island is a must see. The only complaint I have about the entire trip is that the souvenir shops have the pushiest sales people you will ever meet. But, that is their job. The people of Antigua are great ! They are very nice and love to chit chat ! If you don't like to say hi to people or if you don't like being smiled at, Antigua is not the place for you. People are far too happy on the island, but now I know why. I hope you have the opportunity to visit The Yepton Estate Cottages to see for yourself how the people of Antigua truly are. Another good thing is that you are right next to two beaches at the Yepton. One on the left and one on the right. Perfect location. I hope you see what I say in this review is true. We had a fantastic 2 week stay at Yepton. The cottages are in a great spot, perfect for chilling out or exploring Antigua from. Gabriela and Douglas are great hosts, making sure everything was perfect for our stay. Douglas was kind enough to lend us his boat to go fishing out on the lake whenever we wanted - the only let down was not actually catching anything.....
There are a number of beaches within easy range, or you can use the pool at Yepton. The cottages themselves are very well equipped - we particularly welcomed the BBQ and hammock. All round a very relaxing holiday.

We have just spent an amazing three weeks at Yepton Estate Cottages. We wanted somewhere to relax, as we were combining a family reunion with a holiday.
The cottage was one of four in a beautiful setting around a lake where we watched Pelicans feeding each morning.There were humming birds feeding from the tree blossom right next to our terrace. We had relatives who live in Antigua over several times for a meal, they were pleasantly surpised by the location it is neatly tucked away from the busy St Johns but only 5 mins drive to town. It was the most peaceful place we have ever stayed at.

Naomi the maid is amazing, she even had the cooker looking like brand new after we had used it.

We miss Penny the dog who came to visit us most mornings, that made us feel even more at home as she was a good substitute for our baby who we had to leave at home.

Best of all were Gaby and Douglas who gave us every assistance with maps and local information, even providing a phone for our use, all of this without intruding on our privacy.

Would we go again, you bet your life we would.
Only one word can sum up our experience PERFECT.

What a wonderful stay! Four beautiful cottages around a lake with the beach a short walk away.

Gaby and Douglas are kind and welcoming hosts who appear just when you need them and who seem to know instinctively what their guests require.

Super wildlife on the lake -check out the pelicans, the whistling ducks and the frigate birds soaring above.

Not much nightlife unless you drive to town but we just kicked back with a BBQ and some beers most nights on the verandah.

The Coconut Beach Club is a couple of minutes walk away if you crave a restaurant meal and we can recommend it as well. The beach is white sand with hardly a soul on it.

I can only recommend this place high enough by saying it is one of only a couple of places I have been on my travels that I would happily return to next year.
