Over 8 years we have seen the evolution from Jimmy's Bar, to a French owned rerstaurant, several years as La Mia Cucina and now Alessandro Moncada and his wife have arrived from Italy to re-open as Cambusa. This is on the waterside at the Catamaran Marina only a mile from Falmouth Harbour and accessible by road or dingy; do not let the need for a taxi or car put you off as it is a perfect location. The new regime is friendly and there is a lovely atmosphere and a good bar for drop-ins.
My wife started with a Southern Italian Vegetable soup, almost black in colour but apparently delicious whilst I had the crab ravioli in a creamy cauce. I then went for a baked Red Snapper in a sliced potato crust which was perfect and my wife had the ravioli as a main course. A nice bottle of Italian Rose and some impressive Italian wines on the menu including a few expensive one from the Antanori stable- Tignanello etc which I will try next time.
THis looks like a class act to me and could become one of the best venues in Antigua.
