We have had 2 fantastic holiday's at this resort, the people are friendly and the location is amazing, from the wonderful restaurants to looking out accross the water to the island of monsteratt with its volcano. And what can i say about the food if you are visiting this resort you must try Mellini's Itallian Restaurant, the food is amazing and mellini is one of the nicest people you could meet, then there is Peters BBQ and steak house where the steaks are cooked to perfection and some of the nicest i have ever tasted, and if you want a bar atmosfere with a wide range of great food then try the Dogwatch Tavern where the local yacht club meet, and if you are really lucky you might meet Nick Malley of star wars fame, or you could just visit his studio in st johns. No trip to this paradise island is complete without a trip up to Shirley Hights on a sunday at sunset to listen to the steel band! This island has so much to offer i might just have to go and book another trip now!

Wonderful week spent in a villa- very spacious, clean etc.

Am rather baffled as to other's negative responses, as my family and I were entirely satisfied by the entire trip.

We liked it so much we bought a villa!

after reading last review feel i have to say been to this island 4 times and stayed in this resort 3 times ans we couldnt have been more welcomed the staff all staff frm the bus driver to the manager no one could have been more helpful the 2nd time we were there our flight was delayed 24 hours going home and we were left in our villa all inclusive at hotel next door for no extra charge 3rd time when we arrived in our vill there was a plate of fruit and bottle of rum to welcome us back going back for three weeks in 2006 best place ever. tell the locals no politly and they leave you in peace be rude and you deserve all you get anyway manners cost nothing

We went to Antigua for my birthday, 5m days. Jolly Harbour hotel was good, a nice resort, everything on site. We went on the local buses, which stop outside, and on a tour of the Island. Then, we booked for a day trip to Barbuda, the sister island, for $US120 each. What a ripoff!! Only 7 of us went on that day, it was a nightmare! First, the ferry ride was rough, and uncomfortable, all of us had expected a day out on a catamaran, but this was the local ferry. We got there at last, and a Man met us, he had a scruffy mini bus, a van type. He lectured us on how Antigua neglects barbuda, then took us to yet another boat. We were going to a bird sanctuary, but, we went on a boat, with no shelter from the blazing sun, and none of us were prepared for it, we expected to go by road. So, off one rough ferry, and onto a small boat, with only one young man who was driving the boat. He said nothing during the journey. The boat bearly held 7 of us, we were squashed, and no safety equipment on board, no water to drink in the hot sun. I could go on, but I'm warning you, don't go to Barbuda, waste of money, and a horrible day out. Antigua was great, we'll go again. Val.
