Large, extremely well furnished villas with excellent facilities - AC, Cable TV, DVD player, HiFi etc. Good quality furnishings, especially the beds which are wonderful.
We stayed with family and there was plenty of room to spread out and have our own space. The development was just nearing completion at the time we visited, so we can't comment on the grounds as these were still under construction, however we understand that these are now finished.
Good on the ground support from villa manager in Antigua.
The villas are near to Jolly Harbour - which has large supermarket, shops, bars, casino and restaurants. Walking distance to beach at COCOS which is idyllic. for beach and restaurant and in our opinion better than Coconut Grove any day. Also other nearby restaurants although you'd need a car or taxi to get there (5 minutes). Try Dennis's and OJ's nearby and go for the lobster or you've not lived.
We've stayed in the area a number of times and to date, these are the best quality, spacious villas we've found.

such and awesome place to relax and unwind....feels like you have arrived! there is a supermarket on the property called the EPICUREAN and a casino as well......don't confuse jolly harbour with jolly beach..they are two different places which are located side by side....make sure you get a golf cart at jolly harbour to get around the premises.....

The property as a whole is cute. The beach is the best part of the property. I am from Jamaica and I know a good beach when I see it. The beach at Jolly Harbor was one of the most beautiful ones I've ever seen. The water was crystal clear and not too wavy. The view from the sand was absolutely stunning !!! The next best thing about this resort were the themed restaurants. The food and service was great at these spots. The only problem is that you have to remember to make reservations in advance.
I really disliked the rooms at the resort. We had a standard room with a view of the pool and the beach but the facilites in the room were quaint at best. The bed was hard and there was barely any space in the room to turn around. The sheets seemed old and hard. The bathroom was another issue. The shower was much too small.
The entertainment was also sparce at best. The staff were mostly excited but everyone else seemed pretty bored!

We came to Jolly Harbour a party of 4 Adults and 4 children (all under 10 years of age) looking for fun in the sun and that is exactly what we found.

The accommodation in the villas was really comfortable and had lots of little extras that make your stay easier eg microwaves/irons/hi-fis etc. The villas even have utility rooms with washing and drying facilities - a god send when you have kids. The cleaning service in the villa came regulary every day and was of an excellent standard and always very friendly. We had a problem with our fridge one day and within the hour the fridge was replaced!

The grounds are beautifully maintained and a pleasure to walk around. A particular highlight was the hammock lounge on the beach, very peaceful.

The beach and water sports were first rate, truely a paradise.

The pool facilities were our only disappointment of the site as they really did seem quite tierd and at times did get quite dirty. This is not helped by the sea gulls pinching and then dropping any food left unattended for anything more than a second. The loungers could do with an update and there is a desperate need for more shade by the pool.

All the places to eat were great and quite varied. A good tip is to book Lydia's for Sunday brunch to experience fab views, good food and a steel band to boot.

We went on two trips - the first being the Pirate ship 'The Black Swan' - GREAT FUN, really excellent lunch and a chance to snorkle over a wreck. The kids loved this trip and even had the chance to steer the ship itself.

The second trip was the '007 Experience'. Davey and David were our crew for a 4 hour trip diving on a reef. Their enthusiasm and experience was fantastic and everyone loved the chance to meet 'Harry' ? I will not spoil the surprise.

The most important memory of this holiday for all of us has been the people.... We could not have asked for a more helpful, friendly and fun bunch of staff and locals. They really could teach the service industry in this country a thing or two.

So well done to all at Jolly Beach.

We arrived in Jolly Harbour, Antigua on May 13, 2007. Never being on the island we didn't know what to expect, but we felt like we struck gold!

Our one bedroom condo was very clean and quiet. It had a balcony facing the harbour with sailboats and yachts. The streets were lines with palm trees, aloe plants and bushes with beautiful red flowers. The beach was only about a block away which was very clean with white sand and blue, warm water.

Most resturants were out doors with the warm tropical breezes flowing through them. We had good food and good service.

I can't rave enough about the people that are native to this Island. They were so friendly, kind and a lot of fun. They went out of their way to make sure we were happy.

Jolly Harbour is a village in itself. Everything we needed was right there with free shuttle service. It had a grocery store, shops, casino, and just about anything you needed for a comfortable stay.

Jolly Harbour, Antigua was one of our best vacations!
