We booked Siboney based on so many other positive reviews on TripAdvisor. We were so pleased that we did! Upon checking in, the owner asked us how we found out about them and why we chose to stay with them. For Tony to be so interested after 30ish years is really a testament to how much he cares and wants to continue making visitors happy and comfortable.

The beach is incredible...can't say anymore about it than that. Still waters and white sand...heaven.

The attached restaurant/bar (Coconut Grove) is delicious but overpriced. You might find that the other restaurant, The Beach, with more options and better prices. It's only a quick walk down the beach.

As far as the hotel room, it was simple but everything we were hoping for. Small kitchenette with coffee, fridge, stove, etc. A/C in the bedroom, fresh bathroom linens every day, cable tv (if you want it), wireless internet connection and phone. VERY clean as well.

The hotel office has books and snorkel gear to borrow. I went through 2 snorkel masks that didn't work and without asking, the manager went that day and bought new ones! That's service - thank you!

Lastly, there is a man named Miguel that walks down the beach and offers a getaway trip to his Prickly Pear Island holiday. DO IT! We loved it so much that we did it twice in one week. Miguel is an older gentleman that started his business about 30 years ago and now it's a full family business. They cook an amazing lunch, provide great relaxation on their private beach, as well as great snorkeling on the reef. We felt so thrilled to be a part of his family for the day.

I chose Siboney for our lodging based on a lovely review in the NY Times and, of course, supported by the reviews here. My husband and I had been doing more indulgent vacations for the last couple years - cruise during pregnancy, all-inclusive resort in the DR post-pregnancy (I was too tired to plan a "real" vacation!). We craved getting back to our preferred mode of travel - exploring, eating, relaxing and essentially being free to choose where, when and with whom we wanted to do these things!

Siboney Beach Club was the perfect home base for this!! The club itself is lovely, some days we found ourselves just lounging about on our room's porch with the birds, wandering down to the pool to relax in the shady hammock area with the lizards - jumping in the ocean and enjoying the beautiful water - and my favorite - pulling one of the awesomely comfortable lounge chairs (like a director's chair with really long arms you can swing your legs over) to the end of the "jetty" and looking out at the sea with a rum punch. Other days we stayed away all day - renting a car and exploring the island thanks to the support, encouragement (I was very nervous) and maps provided by the incredibly friendly and helpful staff / management of Siboney or going out on a catamaran cruise (check wind before heading out on one of those!) for the day.

The kitchen in the room came in very handy - there is a small store right up the beach (about a 4 minute walk along the water) where we purchased our breakfast items. It was wonderful to be able to enjoy breakfast in our room/ on our porch. ! And the free wireless access was a huge bonus we weren’t even expecting!

As everyone else says - it's true - staff is wonderful. They recommended great restaurants (Papa Zouk's!!! YUM!) and were very accommodating to all our requests and questions. On top of that - they were just simply good, down to earth people who want you to enjoy your stay and their island. I can't say enough about them. Thank you! Thank you!

My last morning, I witnessed this on my morning walk: not but 30 yards off from the property – I saw a man come through the palms with a beautiful horse. He led that horse into the water – they swam out to the deep and then proceeded to swim over what must have been 2 miles across the bay and back. It was the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen.

Oh Antigua, I miss you so! We’ll be back. Thank you Siboney for making this a wonderful trip!

We recently returned from spending a week at Siboney Beach and found it just great for our purposes. This is not a posh luxury resort. It is a low -key charming hotel that we found extremely comfortable and relaxed.

The room, comprised of a single bedroom, a kitchenette, a living room and a patio, provided enough room for two adults and two small kids. It was clean and comfortable and was literally just steps from both a fantastic beach and a beautiful swimming pool set in a lovely quiet tropical garden.

The service was tremendous - everyone was both very friendly and extremely helpful. It's the kind of warm personal service you can only get from a smaller hotel with a history on, and a good knowledge of, the Island. I seriously doubt that the big resorts can compare on this level.

While Siboney Beach does not specifically cater to kids, they were extremely nice to ours. Both the proximity to the beach and the friendliness of every single staff-person made it a great place for kids.

Siboney Beach is a short walk to a shop that sells basic groceries (we ate breakfast and a couple of lunches in our room) and to a couple of restaurants. We found Coconut Grove, the very highly rated restaurant connected to the hotel to be a bit disappointing: expensive, only OK food and service that was sometimes sullen and usually slow, even by Island standards. But that shouldn't discourage you from staying at the hotel.

If you need to be pampered this might not be for you. But if you want a really lovely, quiet place on beautiful beach, and at a very reasonable price, this is absolutely the place.

My husband and I stayed at the Siboney Beach Club for a week in May 2009. It was our first time in Antigua and the main reason why we loved this trip was the quality of our stay at this gem of a hotel.
The staff is incredibly nice and friendly, always ready to help and make your life easier. They are so helpful and so friendly. The 3 ladies at reception are exceptional, the cleaning ladies are so sweet, even the gardeners are friendly. Mr Johnson is always ready to share his knowledge of the island, to give you tips on where to go, restaurant-wise, excursion-wise.
The beach is also a huge highlight: at the south end of Dickenson bay, it is so quiet and peaceful one easily ignores the hussle and bustle of the rest of the bay (when there is any). So you can enjoy the relaxing beach experience and also have easy access to sailing, jet skis, that Dickenson bays has to offer. Sunrise and sunset can be enjoyed with literally no one around.
The Coconut Grove is also a perfect Caribbean restaurant, on the beach, good food, delicious cocktails and lively bar.
The suites are spacious, the kitchenette is very useful, the hotel is very quiet. If you want to enjoy the garden, it is very lush and peaceful, nicely shaded when it becomes too hot at the beach.
I have nothing but good things to say about Siboney. Do try it, it will make your Antigua experience so much more memorable!

This small secluded hotel has helpful staff, beautiful lush gardens with a pool, fully equipped kitchens, sitting room with TV and cable and a nice beach for swimming. We had a great time. We can't wait to go again next year.
