We recently returned from a seven-day vacation at Blue Waters. I would very much agree with many of the comments in the previous review. This is a very pretty and quiet resort which is great for us older folks; but not too older.
We stayed in the 700 block, waterfront and loved it and my wife is not all that easy to please. Room was close enough to the food; but far enough away to miss the noise of the nightly bands. The surf and wind is rather noisey though if you have you patio door open at night.
We very much enjoyed the food; especially Vyviennes where we ate three times. The barbecues were all fun and the Palm is a nice restaurant; but it isn't comparable to Vyviennes. We only took the breakfast plan since many had said the all-inclusive was only worth it for heavy drinkers. That was the right choice by about $800 for the week. The daily tea at 4pm is fun and led us to just eat two big meals aday, breakfast which is big, and then an evenning meal around 8pm. We also ate at LeBistro down the road and its terrific. The trip to St. John's one day wasn't worth it as there is little there to see or do.
The beaches are nice, small; but the water tends to be murky most days as the sand gets stirred up by the surf. If it bothers you not to see your feet than this could be a problem. Didn't bother me at all.
All the taxi trips were quick and fairly priced. Trip to and from airport is only $13 on the shuttle for two.
We stay at a different island every year and this resort compares favorably to other resorts we've visited. Probably not as good as the entertainment in Jamaica or Anguilla, etc. Price was comparable.
Really a nice place. All the people were very friendly and helpful to us. I'm attaching a few photos.
