My Fiance and I stayed at Sandals Antigua May 15-22 and could not have asked for a more beautiful resort!
We were greeted as others mentioned with moist towels and champagne with an exceptionally delightful staff. Our room was upgraded from the garden room to suite 304. There is construction going on and I do recommend that you confirm that your room (even the upgrade) is not near the area.
There is also a promotional email that Sandals will send you about 1 month before your trip with a "deal" to upgrade: BECAREFUL however that you don't upgrade near the construction site AND usually they upgrade you for free when you get there anyways so you might not want to spend the extra $$ beforehand.
We LOVED the breakfast buffet at the Bayside, and dinner there was also amazing.
The other restaurants are all very good and for the people on here who say otherwise, remember that everyone has different taste buds and it will be up to you to decide so don't let them discourage you!!
The beach is absolutely amazing and pristine. The water is so refreshing and so clear, as well as the sand very clean and white. The beach is NOT crowded and there are a few vendors but they are polite and walk away with a 'No Thanks' (however, I bought some very cute necklaces for $5)!
There's always something going on, whether it's a BBQ or fire-dancers, etc., but our favorite thing was getting a little tipsy at the piano bar -- so much fun!!
And YES, while we did see TWO big ugly flying roaches outside one night (out of 6 nights I might add) remember that you are in the Caribbean and this is the natural habitat for these critters and NO there were absolutely none in the restaurants or in our rooms whatsoever. The property is well maintained and not dirty, or "bug-ridden" as someone said on here.
**Most importantly, we believe that this vacation and any vacation is what you make of it: If you're looking for things to complain about, you'll eventually find them. But if you just want to go, have fun, relax, and be in an ultra-romantic environment with your loved one, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO!!!

p.s. We also recommend the Eco-Tour (book early!) and Banana Sip-Sops....you'll see what those are when you get there!!!
