We spent 5 nights in an Oceanview Venetian Suite. The room was beautifully decorated, with plasma TV, plenty of storage, huge bar area, nice balcony with table and chairs, and fantastic bathroom. As this section was just a few months old, it was really clean and the area beautifully landscaped. Everything in our room worked perfectly, and the concierge service was very available if you needed anything. The view from our balcony overlooked the sea, the pool, and the park like grounds. Houskeeping was exceptional, and all of the employees very friendly. The pool was huge and seemed to have enough lounges for everyone, there are cabanas available for $50 per day, reserve ahead. We spent our time on the beach. Plenty of lounges there, no shortage of towels, and a nice long beach to take walks, better than some other Sandals for strolling. There are a few other all inclusives on this stretch of beach, most catering to quiet adults, but it is a public beach and there will be a few children here and there. You do need dinner reservations at the "better" restaurants, do that with your concierge as soon as you arrive. We found Kimono's to be excellent as well as Eleanor's. Mario's can't be beat for the best breakfasts. Lunch at the 2 beach restaurants was great, and of course, there are drinks available everywhere. The food is very good quality, some of the fish was disapointing, the chicken and pork were excellent. There is a great amount of fruits and veggies at every meal, for sure, something for every appetite. The original section was so different from this new area, very quaint and woodsy, more of a cottage feel. Very pretty, and fun to experience walking between both areas.

There is noting to change about this resort. The food was great, the drinks were great and the island is beautiful. Great people and a great time!

The title pretty much sums it up. We went there for our honeymoon. First and last time. The so called "Butler" Service is horrific. The only thing our butler did was escort us to the restuarants. Everything took at least 20 minutes. We called room service to get ice but was told to call our butler and had to wait. Pools are crowded and there's no service - you'd have to go to the pool by 6am to claim a chair for the day. What a dissappointment. Not at all like their website. We also paid $95 per person for the Bird Island excursion - no birds, of course. Our room was infested w/mosiquitos even though they sprayed twice a day. First and last time at a Sandals resort.

We booked Sandals for our honeymoon which was meant to be a once in a lifetime experience...unfortunately we were extremely disappointed.

The resort is not what is advertised....certainly not 5 star, more like 2/3 star. The service was shocking..the worst we have ever experienced. The standard of accomodation was basic and shabby and the food average. On one occasion my main course came cold and having sent it back once it arrived cold for a second time. Another evening our starters arrived with our main course...... the list of examples goes on.

The bar service and restaurant waiter service is painfully slow and on occasions we had to queue for breakfast for 30 mins. Only once did we manage to get a sun bed by the pool and only once on the beach could we find a sun shade...you have to be out so early to reserve them as there are so few and they are shabby.

Complaining to the management whilst there was a waste of time as they seemed completely out of their depth. Overall the Sandals experience was in fact a Shambles. Avoid it particularly for a special occasion as they do not make you feel special at all. Its a good job we had each other to make the experience a special one!!!!!

We Had a Fantastic time. We got married there; it was a wee piece of paradise. All the staff where very nice and couldn't do enough for us.
Our Room was a honeymoon oceanview Junior suite so we also has butler service. I would recommend spending the bit extra on it. Our's were Sheldon and Freeland, Right from the moment we stepped out of our taxi they made us feel that nothing was any trouble. They went out of there way to make sure we had reservations at the restaurants we wanted to eat in when we wanted to be there and more.
We stayed in the CV side. I felt this was a lot more romantic. The new MV side feels like a built up hotel where as the CV is full of winding paths and beautiful gardens.
The wedding coordinators were also very helpful, even though they handle 3 weddings a day they were interested in each couple.
Our only bug was the photos for the wedding where $8 more expensive than normal photos.
As for people who felt the service was below par. I find that if you are nice to people you will get the best out of them. On many occasions I heard other guests barking orders at the waiting staff. Please and Thank you cost nothing but can mean the whole world of difference to how you are treated.
We had the wedding of our dreams and cant wait to return to Antigua and sandals
