After reading the reviews on the internet I was worried that I had made a mistake however it turned out to be a great holiday. The beach is fantastic. Plenty of sunbeds & parasols. Seaweed washed up on the beach overnight it is always cleared in the early morning. Sea is beautiful. Although my boyfiend can't swim he enjoyed the lovely warm, calm water. Breakfast is fantastic - huge choice -local fresh fruit, bread, cakes & pastries, cereal, a great selection of hot food (eggs omelettes cooked to order). Lunch is served by the pool there is always a good selection of bbq food- meat, chicken, fish, fresh salads, pasta, rice & if you fancy it burgers & chips. We were all inclusive so most of the time - we had dinner in the main restaurant which has a different theme every night. You pay extra to have dinner on the Warri Pier which is well worth it & very reasonable. The pier looks a bit run down - but in the evening we were pleasantly suprised how lovely & romantic it was inside. Happy with our room with overlooked the pool. Rooms are huge & clean although the bathrooms are a little tired. Clean beach towels are provided daily. The staff are very friendly & courteous. Julian ( a female waitress) has the biggest smile in Antigua. The hotel is a short taxi ride to St.Johns is you fancy a look round the shops. There is a very picturesque restaurant just past Sandals called Coconut Grove if you fancy a romantic meal in the evening. We did 2 trips- A trip round Antigua on a Catamaran with Wadali Cats -a great opportunity to see the Island from the ocean with a great traditonal lunch & unlimited soft/alcoholic drinks. Would also reccomend day out with GG a taxi driver based at the hotel who takes you to loads of interesting places.
