“Perfect place to relax!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

This was our second time to Antiqua, but this was the BEST. First time was Carlisle Bay which is nice but Jumby Bay blows it away! The rooms facing the beach are beautiful, i miss the outdoor shower! The beach is stunning, white sand, calm waters, and if you go...save the starfish that sometimes get brought up on the beach from the tide, throw them back in!! The food i thought was fine. Breakfast was great, no complaints from me for lunch...the fish tacos are killer! and being from NY im hesitant to order pizza...i put a twist on it chorizo sausage, it was great! The estate house for dinner IS STUNNING and Claudio the chef is amazing, Dinner was fantastic every night at the estate house. THe Verandah for dinner doesnt compare, its good but plain. The employees are FANTASTIC....beach bar...jeannie, omar, franca are the best, they made my birthday extremely enjoyable, we had a blast on the beach! But everyone there is great. Definately put this on your bucket list...awesome !!!!

Room Tip: from what i hear they are all nice....we had beachside...great!

I really liked Jumby Bay from the moment I arrived at the dock to catch the launch across to the island. only one night was just not enough, but the care, attention to detail, and the quality of the accomodation made me grin from ear to ear. My simple suite was fabulous, and frankly not at all simple. Loaded with technology, a great sound system, huge TV, and wonderful bathroom, including outside bath, I really didn't have enough time to enjoy this, let alone all the facilities of the resort. I cannot recommend this highly enough, and eant to go back as soon as time and budget, or a wealthy benefactor, permit. Go there - you won't regret it!

Room Tip: they are all good, but not all have easy access to the beach, some are one a small cliff with no eas...

We are on our last day at Jumby Bay for the 2nd year, and it has once again exceeded our expectations. The rooms up near the pool are beautiful. I would suggest you pick the rooms facing the beach for the sunset views from your patio.
The food is a little weak for such a magnificent place, but the staff and amenities make up for it.
Book it, you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: The pool villas numbers up to 36 have great sunset views. From 37 up, they are as beautiful but miss...

We have been fortunate enough to have stayed in wonderful Carribean resorts. They all have their strong points. This is a special place in that the staff is the most friendly and accomodatng of any of our places. The beach is beautiful and comfortable. The food is very good except for the sometimes overcooked fish (just ask and the last meal it was perfect!). You give up a room right on the water so no waves but you can sit out from the Rondevel rooms and SEE water and the privacy is wonderful. If you want a place with "things to do" other than relax, read, beach ride a bike then go elsewhere. That I think is the true beauty of this kind of wonderful isolation. Also, for all inclusive the house wines were great. Love that there is no dress formal dress code.

Amazing setting, facilities, service! There couldn't be a friendlier place. Guests, homeowners and the terrific staff all make you feel so welcome. This is a place where you introduce yourself and make new friends at Jeanette's beach side bar. She makes the best rum drinks while you make new friends and watch the sunset. Don't miss a visit to Cecelia's for lunch or dinner- a quick ride back to Antigua on the ferry. And if you are visiting on a Sunday- going to the Jump Up at Shirley Heights is a must!

Room Tip: Stay in a private home or villa

My husband and I visited Jumby Bay in November of 2012. We decided to return because we went there on our honeymoon and it was even better than the first time. First let me say that when we went 5 years ago, the villas could have used a facelift so we were so excited to see their renovation.

We stayed in an Oceanfront Courtyard Suite which was amazing. The Suites are so beautiful, the colors, bedding, bathroom, everything about it is just pure luxury and 5 star.

The beach is spectacular, in our opinion. I have read some reviews where they said there is some algae or grass in the water, maybe in some spots but much of it isn't, it's beautiful. You can walk right in the water and find huge starfish. There was great water sports, the beach waiters were very nice and prompt.

The only thing we noticed that may have slipped from the last time we were there was the food. And PLEASE let me say that I am trying to be picky here...But the food 5 years ago was a little better. It was still great and loved the new pool/grill they put in. That was our favorite place to eat for lunch because the view is amazing.

We thought the fitness center was very nice and had everything you need plus it was always being cleaned and fresh fruit and water was waiting and ready.

The staff was very nice but (again being super picky) a little bit of decline since our last visit but was still 5 star service.

My husband and I have traveled to St Barths, Virgin Gorda, Turks and Caicos, Cabo, staying at all 5 Star resorts. We have never been anywhere more beautiful.

Spa was nice but I have definitely been to better spas. Staff was nice but my husband and I had a couples massage and my therapist was in training, which I didn't think was very fair since you are paying a fortune for the massage but we didn't let it ruin the experience.

There is no doubt you are paying a lot to visit Jumby but in our opinion, it's worth every penny. You will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: I don't think you can go wrong with any of the suites. I can only comment on our Beachside Cour...

great service, very helpful staff. The room was very quiet with private garden and outside shower. The dress code at the restaurant is a bit too formal for a caribean holiday (formal pants, shoes and shirt are needed).
Plenty of sports to do on the island
