If you are seeking lots of activities, night life, luxurious surroundings, etc., this resort is not for you. If you are seeking a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the beautiful tropical waters, with a friendly, intimate atmosphere, this place is worth a look.

One of the strongest points is the friendliness of the resort staff. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and at home, and we really enjoyed talking with them and learning about Antigua and the Antiguan way of life. Brian, the manager, holds a welcome cocktail partiy every Thursday and is there to greet and chat with his guests. Excellent rum punch!

The resort is located in the more remote northeastern area of the island, on the Atlantic coast where the seas are rougher than those of the Caribbean. However, the resort's small but well-maintained beach is on a protected inlet where the water is quite calm and good for swimming and (very good) snorkeling. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and large. The room decor is not elaborate, but it is done in calming tropical shades. We recommend upgrading to an oceanfront room for great views of the sea and beautiful sunrises.

The resort's remote location makes it difficult to get to dining spots on the island, unless you rent a car for your stay or take a taxi, which, although easy to arrange, can get expensive after a few trips. The restaurant at the resort is excellent, however, especially for dinner. Andrew, the chef, varies his menus each night so you won't suffer from culinary boredom.

All in all, a cozy hideaway with a warm and inviting staff. We would definitely return there!

I have stayed at many other hotels in Antigua. This is the best hotel. Quiet, good A/C, nice staff, good food, wifi, clean. Peaceful location. It is long way from other parts of the island, but worth it.

We have recently returned from a fabulous week in this friendly, laid back hotel. We were warmly welcomed by the management and shown up to a large well equipped room with a fantastic ocean view. We quickly found our way to the bar and met Brenda, possibly the star amongst the staff team. She looked after us really well all week and put up with us re-arranging tables to allow us to sit with other people that we met. The food was of a very high quality, because the hotel was quiet we had a la carte dinner all week. Chef Andrew is a character and made sure that everybody enjoyed their meals.

The hotel is on the quieter Atlantic coast but is in a sheltered bay and the waves gently lap the small sandy beach. Taxi's are easily obtainable and we took one to Shirley Heights on Sunday to enjoy the sunset and the music.

We kayaked and snorkelled in the bay and nagged the management to get the sailing boats fixed, which they were eventually by Thursday. Ericson the watersports guy is full of promises but it paid to go to the manager, Brian, to resolve the problem.

I used the spa on three occassions and it was generally good, although Stacey does give a very firm massage!

If you want lots of entertainment this is probably not the place for you, but as a place to chill and be pampered it takes some beating and the best thing is that children are not allowed!

We have recently returned from Dian Bay and we did not want to leave.
The surroundings are beautiful, the place is well maintained and it's very peaceful.
There is a choice of 3 different swimming pools to lounge at, and no scramble for sun-loungers!
The food was excellent and Chef Andrew personally greeted all the guests every night (lovely touch).
The best thing about Dian Bay is the beautifully polite and very helpful staff, especially the receptionists, Brian (the manager) and O'Connor (the bar-man).
You should hire a car and see around Antigua because it is stunning. One day my husband and I were the only two people on Half Moon Beach!
