We have just returned from our 1 week stay in Dian Bay and I just wanted to say, that for us, it was perfect.
Yes, it is remote, however, it DOES say that in the many write ups, which I had read beforehand and so was quite prepared for the location. However, you can always order taxis to go to the town (about half an hour) or elsewhere, if you want a change now and then. The staff were wonderful - friendly, polite, very attentive and liked a good laugh. The food was fine - some nights were buffet style and some nights A La Carte, breakfast and lunch were okay too. There was some very low key entertainment at night, which was fine - as the whole point of this resort is to provide peace and quiet.
Our room was on the ground floor and overlooked the beaufitful gardens and one of the 3 pools - it was very large, clean and bright.
If you want somewhere to go and relax and meet some nice people, this is definitely the place. If you want lots of noise, motor sports, to be waited on hand and foot and clubbing, then don't bother coming here. We spoke to a lot of people who were on a return visit to Dian Bay and we will certainly be returning too!
