Not worth the trek. Very far from some lovely spots on the island. Run down rooms. The carpeting in our room smelled like an ashtry. Our ceiling fan was broken and we had to ask several times before it was "looked" at. We had a great terrace with a view of the bay. The beach is tiny and over crowded with lounge chairs. Everyone is on top of each other. Make sure you don't sit next to a smoker. There is a gorgeous beach ( Lover's Beach) across the bay which the sweet Sashtri will take you to by boat. The only problem is that there is major construction going on and there is not a moment of silence. The only saving grace is that we had a car and could escape from Dian Bay Resort and Spa. I still am trying to figure out why it is called a spa. One positive note, down the road is a great restaurant called, "Mama Pasta", agian thanks to Sashtri.

We just returned from a week stay at the Dian Bay and were quite disappointed with it. The rooms are basic and the bathrooms are very old - with very poor drainage in the sink and shower. It is on a remote part of the island and without a car, you are very isolated. We didn't go for the all-inclusive food deal for which we were grateful as the food at the resort was only okay. Due to its remote location we had to drive quite a journey every night to get a better dinner option. The resort itself had no shop for buying drinks,snacks etc.On a positive note, the resort's beach is lovely- private and quiet, ideal for relaxing.

My wife and I stayed from Feb 21 to Feb 28. We are solidly in the camp of people who loved it. The people are very hospitable, the food was uniformly excellent, and the room was large, clean, and had a beautiful view. I always assumed that a resort without children would be quiet because of the absence of the kids themselves, but now I realize that it is the absence of the parents screaming at those kids that brings the real peace. Anyway, don't come here if you want luxury, night life, entertainment, or a variety of restaurants to go to (there is just the one). Do come if you want a sheltered cove of beautiful clear water where swimming, snorkeling, sailing, kayaking are perfect. Do come if you want a small resort feeling where people are relaxed and friendly. I have stayed now at all four corners of Antigua, and this is ideal for a moderate price resort. If you are not experienced at watersports but wish to try, this is by far the best location.

I was disappointed in my two day stay at Dian Bay. The room was very old in that two twin beds pushed together do not make a king size bed. Also there was a terrible smell coming from the tub in the bathroom which mind you was old and could use a face lift. The food was just okay and the night life, there is none. If they consider this an all inclusive they need to redefine that. Would not recomend this to anyone wanting some action at night.
