We recently returned from 10 nights at Coco's and found the whole stay perfect.
We had read lots of reviews and we were not disappointed at all. The food was very good and always tasty. I would say it was 'homecooking' as opposed to overly fancy hotel food. The wine included wasn't bad, and we ordered off menu a few times when we fancied a nice Chablis or St. Emillion! The variety and selection at each meal was good and the service was good too, not slow as some reviews had suggested.
Our cottage was no.9 which had a view of the pool and a partial beach/
seaview. We did book late, so were unable to request a full seaview, but we were happy as we were in good proximity to the beach, and restaurant, and didn't have to hike up the hill! The cottage was nicely decorated and had a feel of 'Caribbean shabby chic' about it, just as imagined. Lighting could have been a bit brighter and pillows a little softer but apart from that it was ideal and felt quite romanitc! The rooms were cleaned everyday and the minibar restocked with water and beer! On the first few nights we found the noise of the trees bashing against the cottage exterior quite disturbing, so we menitoned it to reception and on the same day the gardeners had cut the trees back - excellent service!
We found all the staff were extremely friendly and could not really fault the service in any way.
The acutal setting of Coco's is stunning. It is set on a hill/cliff top and the views from the restaurant are breathtaking.
We will definitely go back to Coco's one day and recommend it to young and old, but probably not ideal for children.
Whilst we have stayed in grander hotels, this was truly a refreshing change and the atmosphere was very relaxing and carefree, but attention is still paid to detail.
