“Awesome expeirence”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2012

We had never been to the Caribbean before and were a little worried about what we'd find. We're not "resort" type people and don't think we'd like the "Sandals" experience. Hawksbill was perfect. Relaxed (only 1 TV on the premises so no chance to cheat on relaxing) atmosphere. Read 7 books in the 12 days we were there. Food was excellent. Never went hungry. Take the shuttle into St John for any special snacks you want for the room. Beaches were great. We're looking at other places for this coming winter but we're still leaning heavily on coming back. We met people who had been coming there for the last 28 years. Speaks highly of the staff.

“Lovely part of the island!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2012

My husband and I lived in Antigua for several months and we loved going to Hawksbill. The beaches inside the resort are gorgeous, and you are free to use them even if you aren't staying at the resort. At least when we were on the island, Hawksbill beaches didn't get all the seaweed that mucked up some of the other beaches. We also stayed overnight in the resort one time and found it to be quite economical -- using a special "stay-vaction" deal they were offering during the off-season. The wait staff at the restaurant were fairly rude, but everyone else at the resort was extremely helpful.

“Hawksbill Beach, Antigua, FOUR BEACHES IN ONE LOCATION”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2012

We came with the cruise ship, took a taxi to Hawksbill Beach about $15.00 from the pier .
There are four beaches on this bay; the first one is easily accessible to the public, while you need to go through the resort to reach the other three. The first beach is reached by the main road and is just before the entrance to the resort.
The second and third beach are mostly reserved to hotel guests. The fourth and last beach is a beautiful white sand beach that stretches along directly in front of the Hawksbill rock and it is lined by tall palm trees providing good shade. This is the only clothing optional beach on the island.
The four secluded Hawksbill beaches are technically on the property of the Hawksbill Beach Resort, but they're open for all tourists to enjoy. You'll want to visit Hawksbill if you're looking for more peace and quiet than Dickenson Bay (been there twice from the previous cruises also very nice with many hotels and resorts).
Mainly secluded, these gorgeous palm-fringed beaches (also known as Hawksbill Beaches) offer powder-soft sand for sunbathing and clear waters for swimming and snorkelling above coral gardens that teem with colourful reef fish.

“Visited from cruise ship, best port of the cruise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2012

Well we took the public bus to the resort. Told the van driver we wanted to go to hawksbill, he dropped us right at the gate for $3pp, it was an experience. The resort was perfect for the day, we went to all three beaches, my favorite was the middle one. To get the bus back we had to walk about 20 min. I would like to return here for a land vacation some day.
