My wife and I have just returned from a 10 day holiday at Pineapple Beach, which we thoroughly enjoyed and are now longing to return.

This is a wonderful complex which was not overcrowded and very friendly, although it is looking a little tired in some places, particularly the standard bedrooms which are very dingy, if you go I advise you to upgrade your room, we had an ocean view room which was very clean and extremely spacious with a most wonderful view. The only down side to these rooms is you have to climb a lot of steps to access them, but it does help to keep you fit.

The food overall, was quite good and very plentiful with a good variation of choice over 3 restaurants, not all open at the same time though, plus you have a snack bar and Mary's outhouse. The snack bar was excellent serving amongst other things, tasty burgers and hot dogs with delightful service supplied by Sherryanne and Maxine, this is all overseen by the commendable food and beverage manager Dale.
The gem in this resort is the Outhouse a unique and original shack up the hill with lovely cool breezes and spectacular view. The barbecued ribs and chicken cooked here along with cold beers are delicious. We would like to say a special thank you to Maxine who helped us to find my wife's parents names Alex and Jean which were written on the Outhouse way back in 1995.

The evening entertainment was quite good as well as plenty of day time activities if you wished to join in, although you may not want to drag yourself away from the wonderful beach. This is the finest beach we have ever lazed on with soft white sand and plenty of sun loungers. The sea was calm and gently shelving with no sign of any nasty jelly fish or sea urchins to spoil your day, and as a matter of fact during our stay we didn't get bit by any mosquito's either which was a huge relief.

The bars are well stocked with plenty of alcoholic beverages and the bar staff are very polite and efficient, in particular Sherylyne was very helpful towards us and made a huge difference to our holiday and we would like to say a big thank you for this. Another person we would like to give a special mention to is Jason a very polite young man.

We would definitely recommend staying at Pineapple Beach, we did have a wonderful time and have no complaints whatsoever.

As other reviewers have commented Pineapple is now owned by Sandals. If any Sandals personnel read this, then please do not change the complex or staff to much especially the Outhouse, if it ain't broke don't fix it!

Sandals resorts are generally overcrowded so please don't overcrowd Pineapple, as you may regret it.

So once again a big thank you to Pineapple Beach from Richard and Sheryl.

we stayed at the pinnaple beach hotel for 12 days from the 18th april, the first suprise was we were upgraded from standard room to oceon view, the room was nice and the view was first class lovely blue sea,
the meals in the pinnapple grill were lovely the rib eye steak is a must it cannot be ignored.
marys shack has lovely ribs and chicken she is a lovely lady and when you greet her she embrasses you true antigan culture the ice cold beers in the fridges help the food go down.
the main restuarant is the topaz we felt the food there was not as good as the pinnaple grill but the staff made up for that as helpfull as you can get, a big thank you to jason and jaffa a holiday we will never forget.
the beach is right outside your door and the sands are pure white the water sports are outstanding what more can you say go there for the true carrabean culture.

The hotel is absolutely charming. The front desk greets you with a fresh cool drink (Rum added for adults, if preferred). Staff and people on the island are very friendly. There had been 4 weddings on premises during our stay. Explained by the beautiful location. The beach was excellent, very clean. Great for small kids and toddlers. Water was calm and crystal clear. You can see tiny fish right through. They do have a pool but it cannot be compared to the beach. There is not much to do on the island with small kids. But there were lots of water activities for older kids and adults. Decent shopping on the island. We felt very safe walking around the streets. The food in the hotel was good but average. No shorts for men for dinner. Make reservations for the place to have dinner at night in the hotel. Skip Italian night. You have go to Mary’s Outhouse for lunch. Great ribs, hot dogs and chicken. Even though, there’s pineapple farm on the island-pineapples are tasteless. Not much of fruit variety. Nightly entertainment were mostly local bands. One night there was the fire-eating guy, and one night was karaoke night. Oh, one more: they provide dinner on the beach at night- the most romantic thing ever...

Just returned from Grand Pineapple beach club.
I had great expectations of this hotel and was very let down.
The hotel itself needs to be totally re done. The staff need to be educated on how to serve the guest.
I am not sure to where I should begin. (to much to write)
I have traveled to a lot of places and this was the most expensive trip I have ever paid, and it truly was the worst!!
The food was terrible they had odd hours to eat. Same stuff all the time, and nothing that was good. Dessert consisted of maybe one cake and some canned fruit.
Save your money until they renovate!!!!!

As with many others, the large amount of negative reports we have read left us feeling a little apprehensive about the quality of the resort. However, the place is quite simply amazing.
It is probably worth thinking about the time of year to go - we went just after the Easter holidays, and as such it was not overly full. Whilst the service for everything was excellent, we couldn't help feeling that the place probably couldn't cope as well when it was packed in peak season.

That said, the place was perfect, set right on the beach amongst lush gardens. We opted for an ocean view room which was worth every penny, with a stunning view of the bay from the large balcony.
The room was excellent, and cleaned very nicely everyday.
Food was excellent, especially for fish lovers, the flavours were outstanding. What people fail to mention is that the variety is there through some buffet nights, where they go to a lot of trouble. Booking meals each day was not a hassle - after all, they are actually trying to help us, by making sure that they control the flow of people so there is not a large queue at popular times.
Drinks were good, and having bottled beer at the Outhouse was a nice touch.
Beach was superb - about the only thing that every reviewer really does agree on. Lovely white sand, and the water was very clear. There were more than enough sun loungers.

Some of the criticism from other reviewers is staggering - for example Mary's Outhouse is only a couple of minutes walk from the beach, just behind the Ocean View rooms. The view there is incredible. Plus, the Ocean View rooms are hardly set back in the hills, they are only up a few steps from the pool - the whole place was laid out fantastically, with everything very accessible.

The star rating is spot on - at the end of the day it is a great place. We would recommend this resort to anyone - a really brilliant holiday.
Ps Do the Catamaran trip around the Island!
