Westayed at St james Club from 18th October for 10 days with our kids aged 11 and 8, and had a great time. On arrival we were greeted with a rum punch and the staff were all friendly and helpful especially when we asked to change our room to one with a king sized bed instead of two smaller ones. The rooms are clean and spacious with his and hers basins and a huge bath!

Although it was half term, and the hotel was busy it did not feel over crowded due to the fact that there were two beaches and four pools to chose from. Mamora Bay is where all`the watersports take place and is a safe place for kids to learn to waterski, windsurf and sail. Take some bread from breakfast and feed the fish near the sun deck! The pool could do with updating but this is planned for the future. Cocos beach is more breezy and is better for snorkelling as the water is clearer.

Food was great. Plenty of choice so you did not feel bored. Lovely breakfasts and buffets for lunch and different menus in the evenings. We did have to wait for a table some nights but the hotel was busy. It's worth going to the Docksider at night to look for the stingray who swims close to the restasurant. Picolo Mondos good for a treat with excellent lobster!

Watersports good but book Hobies early as they are very popular! The watersports staff will take you snorkelling on the reef for 10 dollars. Well worth going! Free water skiiing lessons for beginners. You can keep on trying until you can go once round the bay- I didn't manage it!!!

Overall we had a fantastic holiday. The hotel was clean, friendly and we met some great people. I would recommend this as a perfect place to go with kids as is is so safe on the beach. If you don't like children don't go in the school holidays as there were a lot of kids there. Great for us as ours made lots of new friends.

Would I go back. Yes....Maybe I will purchase a timeshare in the villlage..................!

Have just come back from a week at the St. James Club. Had a great week despite the fact that were a couple of things we weren't happy with.

We were staying in the main part of the hotel and the room was very nice, very spacious for my husband and I and 10 year old daughter, and nice bathroom too.

However, the food was a great disappointment. There are three restaurants, but they more or less serve the same food at lunch and dinner, so there is very little variety. We had expected that they would be serving different food but that wasn't the case and it was more of the same each day, which after seven days is just too much. Breakfast was in fact the best meal, with a wonderful buffet to set you up for the day. Our first experience of all inclusive and it will probably be our last - just too much like school dinners. There was plenty of it - just that the quality was not high enough.

If we were to go again, we'd stay in the Beach Club which was right on the beach and close to Coco's restaurant which was by far the best set up.

4th Oct 06 - 21st Oct 06 (Wedding day 10th Oct 06)

We have recently returned from Antigua, as we decided to get married abroad and what a good choice it was. St James' Club was the perfect location.

At first we were a bit worried, as we could not finalise the day until we reached St James' but thanks to Tammy and her colleagues in Guest Services, the day went superb. The flowers for the day were gorgeous, we visited the beauty salon and myself (bride), my bridesmaids and the mums, all had our hair done up in 'The Village', which we were all pleased with. Some of us also had our nails done too (so girls, theres nothing to worry about!).

Before leaving England, we decided to get married on the beach but once we arrived, we took a walk around the resort and found the 'sun deck'. This was perfect. The staff of St James' decorated the gazebo in fresh flowers which made it look really pretty. To save our legs on the wedding day, we were taken to the sun deck on a golf buggy, that was just so funny!!

We had friends and family join us which made the day even more special. For the wedding breakfast we went to Piccolo Mondos which is second to none, fantastic food, very romantic, great service and lovely views. In actual fact we ate there quiet often. Piccolo Mondos is not included in the 'All Inclusive', we had to pay an additional $35 each.

Our family and friends stayed at The Beach Club and that was a lovely place too. If you are on the ground floor, you can open your balcony door, walk down a few steps and you are on the beach! The rooms are very spacious (incl bathroom), its has a massive deep bath and a fridge. It doesnt have as many perks as St James' with regard to restuarants and bars but nevertheless we would still recommend it aswell.

We had a premium room which was spacious, the bathroom was spacious too. The only downside we would say is that there is no fridge. The views of the ocean was lovely.

Up at 'The Village' there is a deli where you can use the internet and the beauty salon also does a variety of things from haircuts to waxing to massages etc.

The beaches - Mamora Bay doesnt really have a breeze, this is where you can do water activities, this is also the side of the sun deck. Coco Beach has a lovely breeze to it, this is where we mainly went. The good part is, a drinks buggy comes round with refreshments!

Overall, as you can probably imagine, we had a fantastic time and it will not certainly be a day we will ever forget. Actually for that matter we wont forget our time at St James' at all.

We were so impressed, we are going to go back for our first anniversary next year!

My wife and I couldn't decide between the Grand Pineapple or the St. James club in Antigua. We chose the Pineapple - Huge Mistake!! Elite Resorts changed us to the St. James Club which was very nice. The St. James employees were very friendly & helpful. Food was excellent at all resturants. Rainbow and Dockside were the best for the evening meal. Cocos is best for lunch. Rooms were very nice and kept clean. Great 4 to 4 1/2 star resort. If you scuba dive, Ultramarine has a great operation. Unfortunately, the diving itself is not very good. Two beaches, one ocean and one bay. Vance from Sarasota, FL

THE BEACH CLUB - have stayed in both the beach club and in the st james club itself and have got to say for overall value for money and comfort the beach club has it.

In the beach club you cannot eat at all restaurants or drink in all bars on the complex but the room are soo much better, bigger, more facilities, enormous bath etc. The beach club is at least 25% cheaper because you dont have choice of 4-5 restaurants/bars every night but all other facilities are the same. Absolutely brilliant, luxurious and value for money
