My wife and I just returned from a 7 night stay at Paradise Cove. During our last trip to Anguilla we stayed at Cuisinart (probably top 3 in Anguilla), so our expectations were a bit high. After an initial let down with the room feeling a bit sterile, lacking real character (and smelling a bit like cigarette smoke), we later grew to really enjoy our stay at Paradise Cove. The management was very responsive and had our room essentially deodorized (after apologizing - all rooms are nonsmoking). And in general, the management was extremely helpful, be it arranging day outings, restaurant reservations, car rentals, etc. And as the week went on, we found that our room/lodging was more than adequate, was clean, quiet and fit all of our needs. While it's fun to stay at a resort like Cap Jaluca, etc, Anguilla is definitely an island on which it's all about leaving your hotel and exploring the great beaches and hidden restaurant treasures. In the end, we would recommend Paradise Cove to anyone who doesn't "need" to stay at a 5 star resort - it's above average and really meets most needs without any major shortcomings for what it is trying to be. And it is extremely affordable for what can be such an expensive island.
