“Corona commercial”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2012

I felt like we were in a Corona commercial. The island is small but they have a restauran/bar that served good food. Great setting for a fun day at the beach.

“Nice place to have lunch and drinks”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2012

Our family of four with friends are really enjoyed having afternoon time on Sandy Island. Food was fresh, and well prepared...Although drinks are pricy...

“Be careful”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2012 via mobile

What a location! It doesn't get any more beautiful or private than this sandy little island. Much like the other little islands in the Leewards it gets a little shady as well. If you're there, you're spending good money, and that's fine as long as the prices are consistent. The staff tends to change the prices as they feel fit, without telling the customer. And the $45 dollar lobster that was $65 on the bill, was actually only half a lobster. It was a beautiful lobster, but not worth $130 each. And the staff can get a little shady with money as well. They only accept US cash, 1:1 Euros, and only after pressed would they take plastic for a $1000 bill.

Go there, see the sunset, if they don't close before it, and have some drinks. Beware they are looking to take advantage of tourists. Don't ever forget you are in the islands and they make the rules as they see fit.

“Great location, but super strange when the cheque came...”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2012 via mobile

Amazing views. The lobster was great. But when the bill came, it all went astray. The $45 lobsters (for a half) suddenly became $65 ("please notice the + sign after the $45...as in $45+") then they couldn't take credit cards...and then they could only take €:$ at a 1:1 ratio...when we refused, suddenly they took credit cards again. The whole scene stunk of rip-off (the manager made a point of coming over to tell us it was only $17,000 to rent the island exclusively...why would we want that? It was strange.) it was a shame, we'd enjoyed it all until the end...$900 for 11 people, no one 2 drinks per person on average, no starters. The value for money was awful. It ruined it for us.
