“Beautiful views on a sunny day”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

Olivers is a small new restaurant not far from Boothbay Harbor. It has a beautiful outdoor patio overlooking a small inlet - worth the trip in and of itself, but the food is also very good. Try the haddock chowder - different from others in the area, The crab cake with salad is also top notch.

“Olivers is Outstanding!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2012

Went to Olivers with 4 other people. Beautiful day, and the inside ordering area smelled SO GOOD it was unbelievable! I got the ham panini with homemade mustard and a basket of fries. Most seats are outside though there are a few tables inside and upstairs, so the baskets the food comes in are all made of metal. Very smart - food doesn't get blown away on windy days! Food came out so fast and service was A+. Chef came out to ask us how our food was, apparently she comes out very frequently to do this. The fries were better than ANY others I have ever had - fast food places, which are supposed to have the best, have got nothing on these!! Onion rings were amazing as well, my friend shared a few with us.
I will be back again and again - bit of a drive for me but I don't care, it's totally worth it!!

“Great new addition to the dining scene”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

Beautiful setting, great food. A super place to arrive by boat. Service a little slow, but what's the hurry? Crab cake and fish tacos were great. Huge hamburger. BYOB.

“Off the beaten path”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012

Oliver's is worth the effort to find in the Boothbay Harbor area.
It's a delightful, little, gourmet restaurant on a quiet, quaint wharf with nice size portions and reasonable prices. I can recommend the scallops, the lobster roll and the green salad.

“Why We Visit Maine!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2012

This newly opened spot is a hidden gem. The view alone is worth the visit, but the food is just as spectacular. The site was formerly an old General Store which featured it's own Bowling Alley. Today, the wood from the old Bowling Lanes is used to form the Table Tops and the Counter to order. There is a large cement deck with hi tops and picnic tables adjacent to their own Dock. You can arrive by car, kayak or boat. The Menu is evenly split between items from the Land and the Sea. I highly remmend the Char-Grilled Black Angus Burger with Smoked Gouda and Applewood Smoked Bacon, Yummy! Other items include Grilled Portabells Mushroom Sandwhich, Maine Ham Panini, Lobster Roll,, Tempura Fried Haddock Sandwich and their Famous Crab Cake Sandwich. This place is BYOB. It is open from 11:30AM TO 7:00 PM and is closed on Tuesdays. They will be open until Columbus Day, but on a reduced schedule. Get away from the bustle of Boothbay and come out to Southport to enjoy what we all love about the Coast of Maine.
