“very nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2012

we arrived very late we were show up to our rooms very quickly. The rooms are very nice and clean we were on the 6th floor room 6111 our room was at the front of the hotel so we only got a view of buildings and a view to one side of the sea but it was still nice. The good points are the room gets cleaned every day, the pool is very big, all the staff are very helpful and friendly, there is a shop just as you come in from the front doors. The bad points are not enough entertainment for adults, you cant bring any drink or food in to the hotel from any shops out side the hotel but you can use the shop on site. There is a shop out side the hotel to the front and back. dolphine square is only a 10 min walk down the road to shops and beach. There is a small beach across the road at the back of the hotel it would only take you 2 min to get there but its small dolphine beach is a lot better and bigger. There is a small white bus that goes round the back of the hotel every few minutes they all go past dolphine square and shops it only costs 1.75 lira about 60p and on saturday didim market is on they go past the market so if you wanted to go its only going to cost you 1.75 lira dont go with the reps they charge 10 lira and its cheaper to go on the small white bus. Its a nice clean hotel didnt have any problems.

Room Tip: choose a higher floor for good views.

We've just returned from our 3rd stay at the Garden of Sun and again we had a great time.

Our room was clean, a good size with comfy beds and soft sheets and air con that works well. The bathroom was also clean, decent shower and towels that were obviously new as they were still really fluffy. The tv has predominantly Turkish channels but my kids were still entertained with Turkish Dora and Spongebob while we got ready for an evening out.

The hotel seemed to be busy during our stay but we were always able to find a sunlounger next to the large kids pool. The slides are a bonus which my children loved. Not sure why some people are moaning that there are not many slides, surely you read the description before booking? The 2 slides seemed ample and there was very little queuing.

We had no complaints about the food. Freshly made to order omlettes and pancakes cooked outside for breakfast and delicious pastries on the far side of the restaurant, also the usual boiled eggs, beans, Turkish non-pork sausages, yogurts, fruit, jams and spreads. For lunch we tended to eat at the snackbar by the pool, burgers, chips, pizza and Turkish pide, all freshly cooked to order and very tasty. The restaurant is also open at lunhtime. In the evening we enjoyed the freshly cooked food outdoors, often chargrilled chicken, meatballs, fish or kebabs, lots of mezes and salads and a great selection of desserts. We always found plenty we enjoyed, including our children plus no tummy problems!

All in all a great holiday and we would definately return.

Arrived at 7am after various delays, didn't know what to expect. Recommend anyone staying here to get a private transfer where affordable as it's approx 3hrs from Bodrum including other drop offs.
Room wasn't all that, very small for 3 ppl & 2 of us had to share a bed. There was a door separating us to an adjoining room which might aswll have not been there as we could hear everything..
Now for the great stuff! The animation team were friendly & lively from day 1, made a bee line for us to introduce themselves & made sure from then on we were included in whatever was going on. If you go when a guy called Keko is there get ready to belly laugh all day! Nice big pool with plenty of loungers & free comfy mattress for them. Juice on tap & no silly rules about 1 drink per person which I've experienced on previous all inclusives.
I had no problem with the food at all, authentic Turkish & always very tasty! A big salad bar that puts Harvester to shame. Anyone who would prefer the usual burgers chips pizza etc can get it from the snackbar outside.
No problem with rude staff at all, reception or elsewhere? Infact most staff we spoke to made the effort to learn & greet us by name.
The shop out the front of the hotel is cheaper than inside, use that! Dolphin square with the bars / clubs is a simple 10min walk away.
Overall a fantastic holiday, I would love to go again

when we got there, we had some trouble with the rooms as we requested they would be next to each other however they placed us on different floors! the manager was rather rude to us and didnt try to sort the problem. this left us quite annoyed especially after a long journey and arriving late in the night. fortunately some nicer and more helpful staff managed to fix the problem after putting our foot down.
the rooms were nice and although the view was at the back of the hotel it was still nice. cleaners come every day.
the buffet meals were very nice, authentic turkish food which i loved and although people on here have regarded it as horrible and have felt ill i found nothing wrong with the food except some of it needs to be covered due to flies. i think if people are wise they would avoid these types of food and also the salad as it is cold food. i always ate the hot food that was covered and fresh. i had no problem with illness.
the layout was very well thought out and i was impressed with the swimming pool and bar. it looked very tropical and i thoroughly enjoyed my time outside.
it is very near the beach and only a 10 min walk from outside the hotel
the bus comes right outside the hotel and runs very frequently to the town and you just hop on the shuttle and pay when you're on there and takes roughly 10 mins to town
when coming back from a late night there is still evening tea and coffee available which i took advantage of and i was never left hungry or thirsty. if we wanted something different at night we would always pop downstairs to the local bars just outside which were very atmospheric and lively. we particually liked Santa Clara as it was a great place to chill out and relax and chat to the owners who were very nice and often played poole with them.
stayed only 10 days but didnt want to leave! i would definitely stay here again i thoroughly enjoyed my stay here!"
the waiters and waitresses were very friendly and helpful and i made some friends, always working hard but got to know them and they were very nice people.

I stayed at this hotel with my family for 7 nights on an all inclusive and thoroughly enjoyed it. Was a bit put off by lots of negative comments on trip advisor so thought I would just say how good I thought it was. The hotel itself is clean and staffed very well, room service every day came in and gave our room a clean and new towels even when I didn't ask. The room was clean and air con worked all the time. We had to ask for extra towels and sheets which was no problem and brought upto our room. The bed wasn't great I must say and the bedding was a bit rough which was why I asked for another sheet to put underneath. At meal times I thought you had a big selection to choose from and I always found something I liked and I'm quite a picky eater! We spend most of the days by the pool I must admit but it was lovely. It's a nice big pool but the kids pool wasn't very big and not many slides for them to play on but that's why we choose this hotel. Didn't want loads of kids running around but there was a good family atmosphere. It was a very relaxed atmosphere and the pool bar was open all day and the staff were very friendly there. Outside the hotel around the front of the hotel there was building work going on and the area itself still needs some improving but we really didn't venture too far from the hotel. I think if you like somewhere quiet and not too many bars/clubs then it's a good place to go.

Me and my partner went to garden of sun for a week, and have only just got back. We were really disappointed with the holiday compared to our last holiday- To start with the receptionists can hardly understand any English and just look at you confused. The staff in general are really unfriendly and dont really care about your thoughts on them. The animator team is friendly and welcoming and dont badger you to join in if you dont want to, which was nice. The food was basic, everyday was the same apart from a different choice of meat, chicken, veal, turkey. The desserts were gorgeous with a lot of selection and the same goes for the salad, but choice for fussy eaters and children was limited. The all inclusive doesnt apply to drinks, you only get beer, wine, vodka, gin and whisky with soft drinks- any cocktails or other spirits are extra, only about 10 lira but thats not the point. The pool and garden areas are fab, and well looked after- I recommend having your photos taken in the garden because they turn out really nice. The rep for garden of sun is nearly non existent. He is there for about 2 hours a day if that and doesnt have a clue! Thanks to him our coach transfer going home nearly left without us because he told us the wrong time for the pick up, nearly an hour later then it was actually supposed to be there. It was only because im a nervous traveller and wanted to be waiting in reception early that we were on the bus on time. When we spoke to another couple they said that they werent given a time to meet in reception and had to guess. Overall, I wouldnt go back to this hotel in a million years, although there was a really nice bar around the corner which made the holiday for us- its called Sky Bar and does all different types of meals and drinks for really cheap. They even made me a birthday cake and threw me a party.

While staying at the Didim Beach Hotel, we visited the Garden of Sun Hotel, which is located just across the road.
As we were not staying at this hotel (we were looking for alternative accommodation) we cannot comment on the food but the facilities were first class.
The pool area is excellent, there were plenty of sun beds available and there are a couple of small water slides for the children. The views from the sea view rooms is stunning as you can see over the bay towards Akbuk and see the Marina. The gardens are well kept, the flowers and shrubs at this time of year are very colourfull.
The rooms are comfortable and the staff were friendly as they helped us when we asked if you could look arund the inside of the hotel. There are shops and a turkish bath available but of course the cost is extra. We were told that although this is an all inclusive hotel there are rooms available on a half board and room only basis.

There is a small fun fair about ten minutes walk away from the hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms on the south side are quieter, the north facing rooms have sea views.
