“had a fab weekend, Great host, beautiful house and views!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2010

we have spent the May bank holiday weekend in this house. It was a very last minute decision, we left on Friday at 8pm from london, Susan the owner has waited for us to arrive until 1:30am, she was very welcoming made us a hot drink. in the morning, we had a large selection to choose from: continental, english breakfat plus other choices on the menu. Susan even cooked breakfast for our two year old every morning and gave her toys and colouring pencils and paper. She was very helpful in guiding us to all good food places and attractions in Dartsmouth, followed her recommendations and had a great time as a family. The house was very beautiful. The furniture, location, views from our bedroom were fantastic! It was a very short 10 minutes walk to the ferry that takes you to Dartsmouth, although a bit steep but very enjoyable for us and our little daughter. the bed was very comfortable and susan has arranged a bed for our daughter too! my husband and I have very stressful job but after a weekend there, we were so relaxed and ready for work again. Molly the dog is so cuddly and got on well with our dog. highly recomended, better then any hotel around. we had a very customised/personalised service that you will not get in any other hotel. thanks Susan for making our stay so special! Graeme, Rita, Riaeme and Sampson.

We had a large room with lovely views. The owners made us feel very welcome and service was excellent. Would visit again.

Found the house with no problems using directions downloaded from the website. The hosts - Jonathon and Susan - were very welcoming and we sat down in the Garden room for a chat and a cup of tea. Molly (the retired hearing dog) was especially effusive in her greeting and then sat quietly looking beautiful on one of the chairs. The views from our bedroom window were quite spectactular. The in room shower was a little unusual and cramped for space set opposite the twin beds, but it did have a privacy curtain which could be drawn around the glass shower screen. The breakfast was delicious and far exceeded expectation. Kingswear is a very short ferry trip across to Dartmouth and the ferries are very frequent, so the restaurants and shops are very accessible. However, it is a steep walk from the B&B down to the ferry stop so be warned. OK going down, but after a big meal and a few drinks slightly more difficult returning to the house.
