Stayed for 3 nights during 6 nations, big mistake. As 1 st time travellers to Scotland we were told its only 15 mins from Edinburgh, probably is if you've got your own helicopter, one way taxi £ 55.Room was clean but very dated, couldn't knock heating off so boiling, food breakfast was good, evening meal was not good.Location is awful in the.middle of nowhere, you'll have to travel to Linlithgow to find somewhere different .

Had one of the nicest steaks I've ever eaten on the evening, then attended a function in the hotel - facilities were very good

The room was very average - in major need of an overall, very dark and dingy but it was clean

Breakfast was a disaster - waited ages for warm food - Not good!

I'd return for an evening meal, and that's all

I stayed here on business last week.
The bar and restaurant area is ok, the food is quite cheap and considering the price pretty good value for money.

As has already been mentioned by other reviewers the rooms are a little grim, not awful mind, just in need of some TLC.
The showers are the usual sad pathetic dripping tap affair and the beds are too soft for my taste, but thats a general affliction for a great many hotels

Though saying all the above, at £55 a night it was fair value for money.

We stopped in without a reservation and were given a room including breakfast for a good price. The room needed updating, there was a window that looked out onto an apartment building and the bathroom was badly in need of updating. The shower, sink and the toilet were all dripping. The housekeeper had left the shower nozzle hanging so that it would not drip. The room was probably clean but it did not feel that way due to the worn out appearance. The person at reception was very friendly. She was surprised when we came down and decided to leave. She said that had never happened before. She was kind enough to refund the fee she had already charged to my credit card the next day. That was appreciated. Great staff, hotel just needs some updating.

welcome on reception was fine and quick, and first room was fine only to then be told we had to get out as dogs not allowed and we had to move to the annex building across from hotel, the room we were givin had a musty smell as soon as we walked in but had no other option as I will not leave my dogs in a car and certainly not on a hot summers day, we were givin a slightly reduced rate of £16 but this certainly didn't reflect the reduced standard of room by any means, toilet handle was broken but thankfully flushed, no toilet roll holder, no where to put our toiletries in bathroom, only one chair to sit at in a twin room (although a double was booked) shutter for blinds broken, light bulbs not workin, beds hard and could feel almost every spring through them, so with that and the combination of a band and a disco going on well into the night from different rooms from the main hotel in a separate building to where we were, very little sleep was had, which resulted in us having to stop over many times on our journey the next day due to lack of sleep, evening meal was fine, breakfast was ok, if you like well done toast but nothing to write home about. if they did up the rooms in the annex building and fixed all the things that didn't work then it would be an ok place to stop over for a night or two, but for the price charged it didn't reflect on the room givin compared to the many other hotels, lodges, b&b's ive stayed in over the years

Room Tip: if you don't have pets with you try and get a room in the main hotel building or else look for a...

Went for meal tonight and walked away, when we arrived there were 3 people smoking at the entrance so we went into reception to be told we could not get to Grill through reception, also we were asked if we could move our car as space was reserved for a coach that was coming. We will not walk through smoke to eat its disgusting. Don't think we'll be back girl at door not helpful at all ,obviously a smoker.

We spent a weekend at the Richmond Park at the end of March while attending a family wedding. The hotel reception was fast and efficient. Our room was on the 1st floor of the annexe building. The room could definitely do with some improvements and general upgrading. The bed was not very comfortable and led to 2 'restless' nights sleep. The bathroom was small and, again, was in need of refurbishment. The shaving mirror was not working but on reporting defect to Reception was repaired very quickly.
We stayed on a B&B basis but the breakfast left a lot to be desired. On the 1st morning I had to send the cooked breakfast back as it was cold. The replacement breakfast was better but a lot more 'grease' on the plate than I would have liked. The 2nd morning I only had cereal and juice.
The location of the hotel was excellent in relation to the Wedding venue. There was a fair amount of noise from the adjacent hotel car park and hotel lounge - a party in the hotel the Friday night.
All in all a number of improvements needed to encourage us to return.
