“Did not want to leave! Cozy, felt like home.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

Such pleasant staff and with western understanding of customer service.

Loved my modern approx. 450 sq. ft. Room with couch, dining table for 2, kitchenette, full bath. Gentle gray walls, tastefully decorated, comfortable, immaculate. I stayed in the new building. Don't know about older section but think it is ok. Somehow...this room was sooo comfortable I could have stayed a week or more. Great layout.

Indian food available. Not perfect but good. Hamburger and onion rings were a bit greasy but very good. Bar is comfortable. Breakfast buffet is the usual but ok.

Walls are a little thin but place is quiet. Parking. Walkable area.

Definitely would stay there again.

Room Tip: Maybe new building is better-- don't know for sure.

I hadn't book a room when I arrived to the hotel and they could quickly find one for me. The personnel is very nice and polite. However the waitresses in the restaurant are not really doing their jobs: it's more a canteen with some kind of service. The room itself (a standard room) was nice and clean. The only thing made me nervous was the door lock which was just a handle that you can lock. The hotel is generally quiet however you can easily hear the noise from the neighbor rooms and the hall. I had two very thick mattresses which made my sleep very comfortable. One of the disappointments is that they do not have WiFi in the rooms. Only at the reception and the speed is very low. As for the location, it's pretty in the center, however it's hard to find attractions in the town.

Stayed here for one night in appartment room. Staff was very helpfull. Room was very nice, wide and cozy. Excellent mini-kitchen. New modern furniture. Breakfast and restaurant is good (but not perfect). Only one disadvantage is very slow Wi-Fi internet. Location is very good.

Travelling from London to Mongolia to donate an ambulance and 17 seater bus for charity, we happened upon this hotel well after midnight after crossing the border into Kazakhstan from Russia. The staff we extremely courteous upon arrival and gave lots of useful information. When we arose later that morning, after much needed sleep and shower, we asked if they could show us where we could purchase vehicle insurance, how would we contact a dentist and was there anywhere they could recommend where we could replace an oil seal on the ambulance. The staff could not do enough for us - they immediately took a member our the team in their courtesy bus to purchase the insurance, and then onto the dentist. They acted as interpreters and (as we had not yet managed to change up any currency) paid for the team members dentistry bill (obviously we repaid this upon their return to the hotel). They also took our mechanic to a garage to get the old seal removed, again interpreting for us. They allowed the team to use their facilities to change the oil seal on the ambulance. To top it all, the owner of the hotel had been informed that we were travelling across Europe and Asia to donate vehicles for charity and were spending all but 3 nights during the entire trip camped out on the roadside. As a result of this we were then given a considerable discount on the room rates and advised that if we decided to stop at one of the other sister hotels in Kazakhstan that the same discount would apply there too! We left, feeling refreshed, the vehicles in tip-top condition and with a huge amount of gratitude for the kindness and generousity that this hotel had shown 6 weary (not to mention dirty and smelly) travellers. Our first night is Kazakhstan demonstrated what a kind, giving and friendly country this is - we ended up spending 8 days travelling through Kazakhstan and I cannot recommend it highly enough - though we never spent another night in a hotel in this country, camping at the roadside and swimming in rivers became the normal - an wonderful it was too.
